“Overall, we had a great stay! The house was clean, with the exception of a few bug intruders that might just be unavoidable with such a great wooded location. The solo stove provided made for a great opportunity to make s'mores and enjoy a fire outdoors one evening. The beds were comfortable, and the pull-out sofa bed allowed the 5 of us to stay comfortably. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner were all provided. “Myself, my wife, and our dog stayed the weekend while I was in town for a seminar and, truthfully, I can't think of a single thing about this property that wasn't wonderful. It's located close to everything in town without being in town itself. It's right off a main road, but the cottage is set back enough so that it is not obtrusive. “This place was amazing! It has such a sense of calm and peace and was perfect for our family get-together. The bedrooms were spacious. We appreciated the snacks and whoopie pies provided. Derrick responded quickly to our questions about some light switches. It was convenient to our sightseeing adventures in the Lancaster area. Beautiful setting with the horse farm next door and the Amish buggies going by. Would definitely stay there again!”

“Beautiful quaint property with many amenities and very close to downtown Lancaster and Tanger outlets while maintaining the authentic Amish charm. The hosts were super friendly. The family dog, Ellie, was super sweet and greeted us every day while playing outside. There is a lot to do that don't require screens, so it provided a nice break from the technology dominated lives we all live these days. Everything was ad advertised. “It was me, my son and my sister staying. The grounds were beautiful, and we fed the goats too! It was late season, so no pool or any relaxing outdoors. Brrr. Traffic is light in the area so it was easy to get in a 2+ mile walk and see the local neighborhoods. As it was mentioned in the listing (but not obvious in the photos), you have to walk through the bunk room to get to the master bedroom, and the door to the upstairs bath doesn't offer total privacy. “The hill top cottage was the perfect space for an eagle watching weekend with my girlfriend’s family! The whole place was as described and very clean. It had all you needed for a stay including cookware, coffee pot, towels, games, and a washer/dryer to dry our jackets after a rainy day. “The home is great. The hosts are wonderful, accommodating, and quickly responsive to questions- they even gave food recommendations. We enjoyed a wonderful stay in the heart of Amish country. The neighborhood is not great for walking, but there are sidewalks directly adjacent to the house, and you can walk safely around the block. We found hiking trails at Money Rocks County Park in the Welsh Mountains (about 30 minutes) that we did not try... yet. And we found a wonderful park within 5 minutes……
