It was a lovely place to stay. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable. Being able to watch the breathtaking sunsets both nights from the comfort of the rooftop patio was perfect. The house had all the amenities needed and was clean and very cute!

Beautiful and Comfortable

A wonderful birthday getaway

First vacation after 30 years with children!

My husband and I were so excited to finally have a vacation without our children or grandchildren. We booked this house based on information online and was not disappointed! The view was spectacular and we had easy access to and from the surrounding areas. I only wish we could have had a laundry room to use but all in all it was a very memorable vacation.

Open expansive ocean views

The appealing entry opens to a wall of windows and incredible views. Sunset is the best experience of the day which extends into the evening with colorful twilight views visible from the bedroom - pretty special. Wonderful, long beachfront walk with glacial till walls along the shore. Fantastic, quiet retreat makes this place memorable.

Nice place with beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay at this property, however there were some things that we weren’t happy with. We could not get the fireplace to work, the living room furniture was terribly terribly uncomfortable and the TV was very hard to figure out! The thing that makes this place worth staying at is the location and amazing views. The view made the other things tolerable.

Owner saves the vacation

I parked in the wrong spot and the owner came knocking at our door the next morning. She fixed the tv confusion we were having, washed the windows ( salt water does a number on glass) and rinsed my car. The view is awesome. I should have brought my kites as the wind blows nicely.

Not as Advertised

Booked through VRBO with a filter for hot tub properties. Title is Beach front with hot tub. Shows photos of hot tub. At check-in we discovered the hot tub was drained and unavailable, because it’s “seasonal”. The Fireplace was broken as well. We also had to call maintenance for the furnace, because it wasn’t working and it was freezing. Luckily, the furnace was a quick fix. It was a rainy weekend and the covered portion of the patio furniture had cushions stored for the winter, so the outdoor amenities were also not very usable. View is beautiful, but we were highly disappointed.

Broken amenities

I stayed here last year and the top three things that brought me back were 1. Location 2. Watching sunset from the hot tub every night 3. Enjoying the deck with the fire pit at night. The Hot tub was broken. Called management and someone came out and said it’s been broken for awhile. Fire pit was not working, said it was broken. The Title of this listing has “with hot tub” in it. They should have informed us prior to our stay that these items weren’t working. There are many rentals with a great location we could have gone to but I wanted the experiences of the hottub and fire pit for three nights as I had last year. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Also when we called within an hour of getting there ( because we checked right away on hot tub) they sent someone the next day and while she called her manager, she (the manager) said well it’s broken what do they want us to do. She was very rude. We own a rental and I would want to know about this. Hopefully the owners will see this and address the broken items and offer some sort of a refund. If the items listed in the description are in working order, then this place is worth it, but when there are only a few amenities listed, they need to be in working order.

Initially looks amazing, until you look closely

We checked in after 4 pm as indicated. From the initial appearance (it was getting later in day, curtains drawn, and wanted to walk to beach, looked nice. When we got back we had bought some groceries to cook dinner (restaurants are 15-20 min) all the dishes needed washed before use including glasses (for wine), utensils, plates, and pots. Made tacos for ease. There was no cheese grater. Also, all the places I have stayed the guests before usually leave the spices, oils, basic cooking items, sugar, coffee etc. we suspect the housekeeping or owners take the left over items (I know a lot of people who do this and they leave these items as well), so we needed to get basic items like oil, salt as well. No big deal, but just know. The broken wine glass was left in the cupboard. Everything has a sticky feel. I hand washed everything. The back of the kitchen faucet (wouldn’t be able to see it), had something sticky like jam on it. The house had a distinct odor. We weren’t sure of what it was until my husband had started getting breathing issues and eyes watering and closing, and severe chest tightness. It had to be cats. He is severely allergic: we had to buy and inhaler and congestion allergy items. I messaged the (“if you have questions”, and explained the situation, sent a copy of receipt), and then the games began of not receiving receipt. Limited space, the carpet is stained cobwebs, dirty stained towels and pillows, dorcations caked with dust. See my google for pics

Very beautiful, if we ever come back to the island thats where we would love to stay. Shared pictures and videos with family. My 7 year old granddaughter stayed one night with us she was just mesmerized, thought grandma was a millionaire. Lol.
