Our lovingly restored 1940s bungalow combines retro charm with modern comfort, making it perfect for travelers passing through or those wanting to fully enjoy all that West Virginia has to offer. The sunny back deck and spacious backyard are ideal for relaxing, enjoying a cup of coffee, or letting your dogs play.
Sleeping Arrangements & Upgrades:
Bedrooms: Currently, the master bedroom has a queen-size bed. The second bedroom features a bunk bed with a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin on top, perfect for kids or extra guests. By the end of October, upgrades will include a king-size bed and a queen-size bed with covered twin mattresses stored below, providing flexible sleeping options.
Living Room: Currently has a comfy couch. Soon it will be updated to a modular sectional with storage under the cushions that can be arranged to create a queen-size sleeping area.

Living & Dining: Cozy living room with a smart TV. The dining room features a record player and a wide variety of board games and puzzles for indoor fun. Outdoor games, including cornhole and a disc golf basket, are available for the backyard.
Bathroom: Full bathroom with shower/tub combination; toiletries provided for convenience.
Kitchen: Fully stocked with a refrigerator/freezer, electric stove/oven, dishwasher, programmable coffee maker, French press, toaster, and all necessary dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and bakeware. Extra dog bowls are stored in the cabinet under the kitchen counter.
Extras: Full-size air mattress available in the hall closet. Washer and dryer in the basement for guest use.
Outdoor Space: Spacious backyard with seating and back deck — perfect for relaxing, playing outdoor games, or spending time with pets. Leashes are available for dogs.
Parking: Guests may park in the grass driveway to the right of the house (fits 2 cars) or in the well-lit gravel area across the street.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire house and backyard. Instructions for the house are provided in the binder on the dining room table along with the wifi password.

Please note:
PARTIES ARE NOT PERMITTED (including bachelorette or bachelor parties) in or outside the home. Only the number of guests specified in your reservation are permitted to stay at the home. I live in a quiet family neighborhood so to be respectful to our neighbors, outside voices and activity should wrap up at 10 p.m. weekdays and 12 a.m. weekends.
NO SMOKING anything inside any part of the house. There is an ashtray in the backyard and side yard and it's very comfortable out there.
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole house, front porch, back porch, and backyard area.
Centrally located in Oak Hill, the bungalow provides easy access to downtown, New River Gorge National Park, White Oak Rail Trail, Summersville Lake, Gauley River, and surrounding parks — a perfect base for adventure, relaxation, and everything West Virginia has to offer.
