I stayed here on a Wednesday and Thursday night leaving Friday morning. Setting up the reservation was a breeze and Patti made it easy for us to get in without any hassle, and getting into the house was straightforward.
The house is quaint with a queen bed in the master bedroom, along with two other bedrooms, one with a bunkbed, and one with two twins. You can bring your own linen and towels and save money!
Being on the Sound-side or the Intercoastal waterway side of the island, the house has a reclusive and private feel without any traffic noise whatsoever. It's just a short two minute ride to really easy beach access on the ocean side. This was my first trip to Oak Island, and I was pleased with the expansive, quiet beaches for this time of year. The weather was awesome, in the upper 80's and 90's in September!
The house is equipped with everything you need for any length stay. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook, and there's a washer and dryer. The entertainment system consists of cable TV with a Roku setup which enables you to access Netflix, etc in a nice cosy living room space. There's plenty of room outside for eating and relaxing with a fully screened-in front porch that runs the whole length of the house and a large back deck with table and chairs.
Although we didn't meet, Patti was very sweet and available, and has done a great job of making her beach home a perfect place for a quiet, relaxing getaway. We had a great time.
