Oakland Aviation Museum

This hotel is clean and well kept. The staff was very nice and helpful. Coffee is great, breakfast is good- MAJOR Shout out to Henry, our valet and (bartender some nights) !! This gentleman remembered our names immediately, was attentive and thoughtful and made us feel like we had a friend in the hotel. This man should be kept as an employee at all costs. Being in the service industry myself, I would pay him whatever he needs, to keep him on. Golden staff member, all the way. As far as the rest of the experience, this hotel may be victim to the area but some of the people who are patrons of this hotel are menacing, to say the least. We were on the 18th floor and the room next to us had people coming and going, all hours of the night. Makes you wonder why ?? Door slamming over and over as people came and went all night. Got up to use the bathroom and the smell of pot FILLED our bathroom! Doors slamming all night, contact high just because you have to go to the bathroom at night?!?! In a non smoking hotel?!?!?!? Doesn't seem right. I reported it to the nice front desk gal as we left and I HOPE the manager followed up. I'll be contacting Marriott Corp as there needs to be attention payed to this problem if they want to keep business people and families coming, they need to keep the riff raff out. Marriott needs to look in to what's going on at this location.

The room was clean, nice space. The elevator smelled like urine, which was very unpleasant. The staff also never responded to any of the messages sent through Expedia after the booking was made. Even after checked in and made several requests in person, the front desk staff repeatedly brushed me off and told me to come back later or next day. This happened throughout our entire two-day stay, and our concerns were not properly addressed.
