Family Thanksgiving

Came in to find mouse droppings in cabinets and had to disinfect and clean. The information about the house was not able to be located for some time. It should have been left on the kitchen counter. No notes on how to turn on the gas fireplace.

Copper Canoe is definitely for you

We arrived for a week stay at this property. Payment, check-in was for the most part seamless. We received a message that the crew was running behind and there would be a delay to get into the house, but we arrived and were allowed to unpack in the area that had been cleaned. They called for additional staff, and we were only waiting 15 to 20 minutes for the cleaning crew to finish their work. The house was very clean when they were finished. The property is in a quiet neighborhood, and the dock was in a calm inlet, but easily accessible to the main lake. It is clear that the owner of the house has done a lot of upgrades to the property. It still could use some work on the hot tubs, but overall. very nice. I didn't ding them for that on the 5-star rating. I cook meals for the family and am fairly particular about kitchen equipment. I had no difficulty with the service items provided. Pans, sharp knives, ample utensils and dinnerware were provided. Due to the nature of the water in this area the pool and hot tubs had a large amount of minerals in the supply, however the pool and hot tubs were maintained daily and eventually were quite clear and pleasant to use. Plenty of room for our party. The rec-room / bar, theater, sitting areas and especially the multi-level deck areas with multiple gas and wood fire pits were terrific. It was clear the owner had recently purchased new furnishings for it all. Dock was great, we parked a large pontoon for easy use throughout the week.

This place is awesome

Usually places over sell the amount of people that can stay in a place but this place undersold. Pool was great, movie theater was great, and there were plenty of beds for all of us. The floors were a little sticky when we showed up, but that’s kind of nit-picking. Overall had a great time!

Great escape!

We were looking for a mid winter get away with an indoor pool and that we could drive over to the ski slopes. This was the perfect place for us. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms and great chill spaces for many people to hang out amd have space. All issues we had were minor. Great place

Definitely not a premier vacation Home

This property was disappointing from the start. The indoor pool was cloudy and never cleared during our entire trip. The outdoor hot tub was green and could not be used. The kitchen was not stocked with the bare minimum and required my group going out and buying many kitchen utensils that should have been provided. The movie room would have been nice but we could not get it to work. The separate bar area was nice but there was not even a glass or cup or wine opener etc.. The bar area also does not have any running water. Also, the heat in the upstairs bedroom above the bar did not work and the couple that stayed there could not even spend the night. They had to sleep on the couch in the main living area to stay warm. Overall this home is extremely underwhelming. It is old, not well cleaned and looks like it is meant as a college party house versus something for families. I would never recommend this home to anyone. I have stayed at Deep Creek many times and the home was always very nice but this was an absolute disaster. Our group payed just under 10000 for 3 nights and we all feel like we were taken advantage of.

Copper Canoe

Beautiful house, still needs some repairs. We had a infant, felt the floors could have been cleaned better. Had a issue with the pool, reported it and someone was out right away to fix it. We had a great time.

Worst experience with renting a house.

Overall the experience was less than desirable. The house was not cleaned appropriately prior to our arrival. The indoor pool was not functional. We had to call the property manager to put chemicals in the pool. The pool was closed for our entire stay. We also had to call management to empty the trash. Reception is poor and the Wi-Fi was spotty. The worst part of the trip was a field mouse in the couch.Definitely will not be returning.

Getaway in Oakland

The house was amazing for a large group of friends! The pool room, movie theater and bar made it so much fun for people who didn’t want to ski on the mountain. On the other hand, for such a large house there were barely any pots and pans to cook with. The oven would burn one half of food while not cooking the other side. Other than the kitchen needing some updates the house was a perfect getaway for friends! I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful Home with Amenities

My husband and I stayed at this property for our mini honeymoon for a relaxing getaway. We absolutely loved the home and the area. The recliner movie theater was amazing! The only complaint we had was the pool needed to be thoroughly cleaned. It looked like it hadn’t been done in quite some time so the sides of it were brownish. The rest was fine but this definitely took away from some of the appeal with the swimming pool. Other than this, we really enjoyed the home and our stay. We look forward to coming back!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was beautiful and recently renovated. We had a great time enjoying the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The kids had a great time in the theatre room, the teens enjoyed the game room and the adults took advantage of the large back deck. The house was big enough to accommodate everyone easly and comfortably. We rented a boat and a few jet skis for the day so It was very convienent to have lake access. There was also a fire pit located by the water. It was the perfect place to roast marshmallows and play the guitar. We had a great day on the water and a fun night by the fire. The only issue we had was the game room air condition not cooling well. I contacted management and they sent out help the same day. Additionally, the indoor pool was not ventilated well. There was an indoor ventilation system with three ceailing units but the problem was there was no fresh air entering the room. The management company was aware of this and explained that recent rentovations were still in progress but wanted us to have acces to the newly installed pool. Overall we were extremely pleased with the house, the amenities, and dealing directly with the folks at Deep Creek Lodging Company. Everything was great and we had a wonderful time. This was defiantly a House I would recommend even with the minor things mentioned. Everyone had a fun on the lake and we truly enjoyed our time at Deep Creek.

A+ girls weekend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a blast during our stay in May 2017. The weather was horrible but it didn't even matter because the amount of room this cabin has more than made up for constant rain showers. We had 10 woman, cooking, singing dancing, binge watching Game of Thrones, enjoying some cocktails and playing cards. And the best part, after all the fun we got to all lay down in our own bed. It really was an awesome place, we are already planning our next trip there!
