The bathroom was very clean and plenty of hot water with very good water pressure. The balcony overlooking the river was very relaxing, listening to the noise of the water flowing bye. The breakfast was plentiful with very good choices. The attendant at breakfast was very courteous and helpful. We definitely recommend for a good stay in the Sylva NC area."

"First, if you want all the extra amenities and fancy décor that you get at some of those chain hotels, then this is not the place for you. But if you want a simple room that is clean and has everything you really need, at a good price, and is close to downtown Sylva, then this is a great place. It is an old roadside motel that is definitely basic in its design. But it was very clean and everything in the room worked. Which is better than I can say about the last VRBO I stayed at. Its is about a block from downtown Sylva and definitely walkable. The floors are all ceramic tile even in the bedroom area which means you know that it is clean, unlike the carpets at a lot of those "fancy" hotels. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were good quality and again, clean. The back of the motel faces a beautiful little creek and the rear window opens so you can hear the water running. We enjoyed it and liked the location so much that we have made another reservation for next month and cancelled the place we had reserved in Cherokee. "

"The home wasn’t dirty but it wasn’t as clean as I would hope or expect. A pile of blankets shoved in a closet unwashed and stained, coffee still in the coffee pot, lots of dead bugs in the windows, and long brown hair on the shower wall. It didn’t feel too dirty to stay in but too dirty for the price, I’d say. Other than that however, great location near the cute towns of Dillsboro and Sylva, which both have nice restaurants and breweries. The pictures of the views are false advertising as they must be at least a few years old judging by current tree growth. The house is large and the foosball and pool table are a fun addition. Satellite TV, VHS, and DVDs are outdated and I think just having WiFi so that use of the living room smart tv would be more accommodating for most guests. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully decorated home. It is perfectly located to be able to walk to restraunts and bars in Dillsborro. Very cozy with great views and right at the junction of Scott Creek and the River!"
