The hotel is beautiful, the beds were super comfortable, we had 2 rooms and brought our dog. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating, hotel is only a few blocks away from the main plaza/zocalo. We can’t wait to be back. The hotel is nicely designed and the rooms surround a common courtyard with garden and reflecting pool. Secure and safe property. Very walkable location. Breakfast starts 7am we missed that due to an early morning flight. The property staff is very nice. The area was a but noisy until around 2am. Our room #6 was nicely appointed. We did not have any hot water in our room. Last year we stayed at the sister hotel, Flavia. This was a beautifully designed, and spacious hotel with an amazing view, outdoor restaurant, bar and library. The only draw back was the noise. During our stay, we experienced consistent barking dogs in the night and early morning hours.

The hotel is beautifully designed and the artist designed rooms are cool. Super clean, with coffee and minibar in the room. Most notably the staff was incredibly helpful - particularly given how crazy the time during dia de los muertes can be. Only downside is that the rooms are a bit small and dark but there is a nice patio area on the rooftop with a bar open for breakfast and in the afternoon.

This was an amazing hotel. You are first impressed by the design and aesthetic of the hotel, both modern and traditional. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful with booking taxis needed throughout our stay. It was much appreciated. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable. Hotel is a short walk to the main downtown area, no more than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit Oaxaca.
Room 10 came with an outdoor bathtub. It was amazing!

Love for Spira from the Honeymooners!

A wonderful, comfortable, stay right in the heart off Oaxaca. We loved Spira Hotel and the emphasis on local artists and overall design. The bed was very comfortable, the skylight in the bathroom and tub outside were well worth it with mood lighting that made all the choices feel intentional. The room was exactly as pictured. Breakfast was also delicious and a great way to end our trip. We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone thinking about it!

Nice and cozy little hotel

Nice and cozy little hotel. The bed was great and the hotel was good. Looks a bit more high end on the pictures than in real life + the price is also a bit high compared to what you get.

The hotel is very well appointed, bed was great and the room itself was very comfortable with attractive art and design. Roof top patio is serene, the service on the patio is exceptional. Little slice of calm

Everyone was so friendly. I had left my cell phone in a taxi and the guys at the hotel tracked it down for me and got it back. I have no idea how they managed that. Very peaceful hotel despite being so close to a big busy street.

Excellent little boutique hotel

First of all, Spira Hotel is absolutely stunning. The central courtyard and artworks throughout the hotel are really lovely as is the roof terrace where breakfast is served. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - they booked taxis and tours and even rushed to get me breakfast before I had to leave. Guests should be aware that rooms are a bit dark and windows open onto the inner courtyard (not outside). However, this was actually better for keeping out street noise and the bed was incredibly comfortable.. The shower too was one of the best I've had in a hotel in terms of water pressure and quality. My only constructive feedback was that the front desk staff was a little disorganized and didn't communicate super clearly - but they got the job done and were eager to help.
