Great place

Had a very nice stay at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and waited for our late arrival which was very nice. Room was immaculate and breakfast was great.

Great little hotel

Lovely hotel in very quiet location. Good breakfast convenient to get into town. Parking can be a bit cramped and sofa bed was not that comfortable. Overall great little hotel.

We made our booking late on the day of our arrival and literally caught the person at the front desk minutes before they went home. They arranged our room, and access for our keys, and it was all quick and easy. We arrived late and the process had been explained clearly making getting into our room effortless. The room was spotless, the vending machine with beer and wine was great, the breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Overall a good property and well managed hotel. Only caveat there was no AC. I did stay in a castle before and they offered fans. Fans would have been nice. Note: good luck getting a taxi. I called the number the hotel provided for me to schedule a taxi and the woman at the taxi company told me good luck getting a taxi. If you are traveling with luggage, the walk up is not for those carrying a large heavy suitcase.

Una buena experiencia, el personal muy amable, instalaciones limpias, desayuno incluido con suficiente variedad, sauna incluida algo retirado del centro de Oberammergau pero eso permite una mayor tranquilidad. Cerca del centro educativo al que iba a diario. El viernes de checkout te dejan dejar las maletas custodiadas y canbiarte e incluso darte una ducha alli. Muy recomendable, repetiré seguro.

Smoke, Smoke, & More Smoke!

We were greeted rudely, then given a double room, when we had reserved a triple room. When I asked for a discount, due to the incorrect room, a triple room was magically found. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke. The corridors smelled of cigarette smoke. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but we left after 1 night. It was miserable.

Nice hotel, but the service level was inflexible

Nice hotel, clean rooms, food OK. However, the friendliness of the staff was not overwhelming. During our stay we needed to leave 7:45 in the morning, but beakfast did not start until 8 o'clck - and this was not negotiable. Not OK for a proper hotel! We wanted to pay the evening before departure and was told that this was not possible until later in the evening. We went out to dinner, and after returning to the hotel, everything was obsiously shut down for the night. As we had to leave early the next morning, this was rather impractical. Again: not up to the service level you would expect. The setting of Oberammergau is beautiful, though.
