Historic Second Floor 2 Bedroom Apartment Kemp Estate

This apartment is located inside the famed Kemp House. The Kemp house, circa 1938, is a Tudor Revival home, built for T.J. Kemp an agent for the Sinclair Refining Company during the 1930s. This large residence is noteworthy for its brick detail and half-timbering. Originally a single-family residence, it eventually because a boarding house in the 50s and 60s-renting rooms weekly. Later it housed retail stores, a coffee shop, The Blue Heron Gallery, and more.

The two bedroom apartment is the entire second floor of the Kemp Estate. The apartment is about 2,500 square feet contains its own entrance (must climb stairs) bathroom, 2 bedrooms, large designer kitchen, office/music room, private gym, and living room.

The bathroom features a rain shower head, double granite vanity, fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels.

The master bedroom features a king sized bed with topper, closet, two ceiling fans, iron and ironing board along with an extra pillows and blanket.

The second bedroom also features a full sized bed with topper, ceiling fan, closet, extra pillow, and a small smart tv. The designer kitchen features a wall oven and microwave, full sized refrigerator, granite counter tops, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, a dining table and chairs, and essentials like salt/pepper, oil, tea, coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. We do include a welcome gift of pastries to get you started on your first morning.

The Office/Music room offers a large work area and chairs along with a keyboard and upright piano.

The private gym offers a treadmill, free weights, and the Body Craft Gym System.

The Living room offers a large smart TV, a sectional couch which is also a pull out sofa bed, board games, and a beautiful fireplace with candles.

The TV is a smart TV so bring along your login information for Hulu, Netflix, prime etc. If you don’t have a membership, each app offers free trials in addition to the other free apps on Roku and live TV tile on Roku.

The front patio offers a gas grill, outdoor dining table, and outdoor furniture. There are also two bikes available for use. There is one reserved parking space provided. If an extra parking space is needed, please arrange prior to your arrival date.

There is a shared laundry room on property open 9am-9pm on a first come first served basis

**There is no pet fee, no additional person fee, only a $85 cleaning fee. Guests are not asked to do laundry/cleaning etc. as housekeepers will take care of it upon check out. Each apartment is cleaned by professional housekeepers who are paid by the cleaning fee with no markup for the owner.
