Okay but not for kids

This rental was okay - wasn’t the worst I’ve been in but would not rebook and was not good for kids. For starters the beautiful floor to ceiling windows (which I did love) do not have room darkening curtains. So… 530 am and everyone is awake. Also, there is not flat entrance to the beach. No matter which way you go you have stairs, so getting a wagon + kids felt impossible. The place itself wasn’t bad; beds were comfy, views were beautiful and location was good. Pool was “outside” but was under roof and was behind the building.

Disappointing

The pictures really made us excited to stay and the beachfront view (although VERY HIGH) was pleasant. However, the information was not very clear about the expectations of check-in, the beds were hard as a rock to sleep on. We were informed there were 2 queen sofa beds but the living room was arranged that you could NOT pull out both beds at the same time. So then why would you advertise you could sleep 8?! The floors were ripping in corners and kitchen chairs were very dirty. We will not be staying there again!

Nice place, top floor!

Nice home. Very limited dishes if you plan on eating in that were not in great shape. Patio furniture is a bit on the flimsy side but works. Would stay in this building again, and this unit if dishes were updated.

Utilitarian with a Great View

The views from this unit can't be beat with both ocean and bay balconies. There was plenty of room for four adults and we had no issues getting to or from our unit with the elevators moving quickly. The furnishings were fairly minimal and somewhat outdated, but clean and comfortable enough. Not that we wouldn't stay here again, but we might search for something less spartan.

Unit 2517 - One and done!

Unit was poorly maintained and needs to be updated. Satellite TV was out all weekend and service desk never followed up on reported outage. Listing stated that it would sleep 8 people, but there were no blankets available for the two pullout couches. Definitely would stay there again or recommend!

Location perfect! But condition of unit not perfect!

Veiw was spectacular in a perfect location. Great spacious apartment however the condition of Century 1 unit was a disappointment. The mirrored wall was cracked, dining room light fixture hanging, mattress covers were torn, bedroom and bathroom shower curtain were dirty, despite having been charged a cleaning fee. Two of the three tv's were not working. Gym access and pool access was not available. With a little TLC it would be a five star stay!

Not what I expected for the pruce

Everything dirty. Stove not working properly, garbage disposal not working, tv cable not working it was dirty sand all over the place, sofas dirty blinds coming off and broken. Told the people of office they put a ticket and they never went to fix it . Very poor for the price. Very very disappointed.

Waste of Money

Overall terrible experience, very unpleasant stay. There was broken blinds, missing knobs, rundown furniture, missing shower curtain- Just to name a few items. . I cannot believe you changed me this HUGE fee for a very crappy building and condo. Too many rules posted everywhere about the elevator. Not sure who jumps and does horseplay, but we got the point. Having to pay to park insane. AND the TV and WiFi did not work anywhere but the living room. What is the point of TVs in each bedroom if they do not work? Being right on the beach was the saving grace.

Dirty, dangerous and run down

We were very disappointed with this penthouse. It was dirty to the point my feet were black and I took a picture. Also, the knobs on the dresser drawers fell off and the drawers were broken and would fall out onto the floor. A whole section of the blinds were missing so you couldn’t block the sunlight coming in, the molding trim was off with long exposed nails, the shower curtain was dirty with tears, the bed cover was torn, the comforter downstairs was filthy and we had to go and buy our own blankets. There was a broken lamp that was actually glued back together, the dining room chairs were dirty and one seat is completely off, the tv in the master didn’t work, there was an outlet missing and wires exposed...I have pictures to document everything! The building is old with no AC in the lobby or elevators so you literally sweat all the time. Penthouse is NOT what you expect. It needs serious repairs, cleaning and updating! It’s actually dangerous with young kids with long nails exposed. Thank god my child was 8 and old enough to not touch it. Very disappointing! We loved the beach, but would never stay here again! Such a shame!

Disappointed to say the least

First, I want to say that VACASA staff at Century I were wonderful and actually saved what would otherwise have been a horrible vacation given the condition of the unit. Although it was clean,and structurally accurate to the description, the condition of the furniture and lack of care for 'guests' was completely different than what others wrote in their review. EVerything provided was bare minimum and bargain basement style, and the couches were old and stained. The TV's were not Smart TVs and only one of them worked. The one in the master bedroom didn't even have a cable hookup. VACASA staff were nice enough to purchase a RoKu device so that we could at least watch the Livingroom TV and a lamp, as there was only one small light in the bedroom. Will not be staying here again.

Unbelievable View!!

We loved the views of both the Bay and the Ocean from this top floor unit. It was very clean upon our arrival. The furniture needs updating, ceiling fans would be great. The TV's didn't work, there was no ironing board or broom (there were vacuums), and sadly no furniture on the downstairs, bay view balcony. Even all of this being said, you can't beat the views and the fact that it is oceanfront, therefore, I still give the property a good rating.

Missing blinds and cutlery

Missing 40% of blinds making living room too bright and hot for people using the sofa bed. Duct tape marks on the glass from where others hung up sheet to block out sun. Had only FIVE spoons. Furniture on back deck was unusable. TV in master took two days to fix. Blinds and spoons never addressed. Should have brought some duct tape. Very disappointing.
