Enjoy leisurely strolls or pleasant bike rides to discover the charming shops, galleries, and restaurants that dot the area, all just a stone's throw away from the picturesque Silver Lake Harbor. Immerse yourself in the inviting atmosphere and embrace the cozy charm of this hidden gem, perfect for creating cherished memories and a truly homey getaway.

The dock on Silver Lake Harbor is perfect for your boat (up to 21') or viewing the sunset over the harbor. Great for kayaking too. Just a short walk from the cottage!

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath: Bedroom with Queen. Bath has a shower only.

This cottage with open living/dining/kitchen is the perfect retreat for a couple. Originally constructed in the early 20th Century, The L is listed on the register of Historic Homes on Ocracoke. Originally the kitchen extension for the William D Balance home.

Amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access, a 40' smart TV with cable service, AC/heat, and ceiling fans. Stackable washer and dryer.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

'The L' offers an expansive lawn area, screened porch, deck, park-style charcoal grill, and hot/cold outdoor shower for your outdoor enjoyment. Parking for boat trailer. Off-site private boat dock on Silver Lake Harbor.

No Dishwasher. No Phone.

No Smoking. No Pets. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

nice little place for two

good location. walkable to everything and close to our friends' rental house on Fig Lane. we loved having access to the pier for kayaks, fishing, and hanging out in the evenings and listening to the music from Jolly Roger from there. however, this property can be rented directly from Ocracoke Island Realty, so don't waste your $ going through VRBO.

Great little bungalow on Ocracoke Island

We really enjoyed our stay at the "L" on Ocracoke Island. The "L" has a great location near many activities and restaurants. We were able to walk just about everywhere except the beach, which was a 5-10 minute drive. The "L" was just the right size for two people. We appreciated being able to use the kitchen and the laundry during our stay. Hope we can stay on Ocracoke again one day, and would definitely stay at the "L" again.

Great location, the perfect 'base camp' for 2 at Ocracoke Island.

Everything a couple needs to enjoy all that Ocracoke has to offer. The bed & couch were very comfortable. All appliances needed were available. Nice parking area. A little difficult to locate at night, so the only suggestion would be to add some kind of address marker near the front drive. Great place to stay. Best value for the island is Howard's Pub. A fun ambience with a generous menu selection. Blessed Bakery, is our first choice for coffee/quick breakfast. Versus 'Ocracoke Coffee' - there was an hour long line when I tried (no.. I am not exaggerating one bit) to get a couple java's, glad I decided to search elsewhere.

Clean and comfortable. Close to everything - bars Resturants and thing to do. Hosts were terrific.

Hosts were terrific. Loaned us umbrellas for most of our stay. Refurbished cottage was great beach getaway. Will return. Loved the outdoor shower.
