The sun temple at konark. The chariot of the Sun God is carried by 7 might horses who represent the 7 days of the week. It runs on 12 wheels - 6 on each side of the chariot representing the 12 months of the year. Each wheel is divided in 8 thick spokes and 8 thin spokes depicting the praharas or the different time of the day. Even today the sun dial shows the exact time.
