Absolutely marvelous place

The house is situated with incredible views from every window including amazing sunsets. Quiet solitude is a given. The house is immaculate and has everything needed. It is a place to respect.

This was my second visit to La Lomita. Last summer I stayed with my teen son and this year I came back with my husband for our first solo vacation in TEN years. La Lomita was perfect for its proximity to Santa Fe, Chimayo, and Taos, but what really drew us was the quiet, beauty. We felt like we were in a world to ourselves. We especially loved sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and reading. My favorite Expedia/VRBO stay ever.

Loved this property! Gated community so it felt safe. Even though you knew other houses were around, they were spread far enough apart so it was very quiet, peaceful, and calming! The views from the back porch were absolutely amazing!! The house had all the essentials plus a little more. The beds were comfortable and house was clean. Carl was wonderful to work with; very communicative, and accomodating

Amazing view and property

We are ecstatic that we found this property for our vacation. It was perfect for us. We were visiting white sand dunes, Guadeloupe and Carlsbad national parks, and headed north to visit a few other spots like Ghost Ranch. This house was awesome. It backed up again a large range and was private and secluded. So much room to let my 6 year old explore. The stars are night we’re just Amazing. We will definitely be back again!

La Lomita was excellent. The property is comfortable, spacious, and very well stocked. Directions are helpful for where to find everyday things you need. It is just lovely - the attention to detail without feeling overwhelming. And the books ... many interesting and diverse titles. ☺️

Carl and Gretchen not only have a beautiful home. They have it well stocked and super clean. They communicated with us prior to our visit, and we were also blessed to meet Carl while we were there. He made us feel as though we had visited our own family homestead. What a joyful experience.

Wonderful stay!!!

We had a fabulous stay!!! The house was perfect and had everything we needed and more! Watching the sunset from the porch was a favorite evening activity…far enough out of town to feel secluded in this private-gated community but close enough to everything for easy access. Highly recommend this property!
