Lawns for cricket in the evenings; mud flats to explore at low tide; a wee beach or two to wander along; log fire for chilly autumn mornings and those long holiday evenings sitting round playing board games and cards together. We couldn’t have dreamed of anything better than what we had the privilege of enjoying here thank you to the hosts who share their slice of paradise”

You don't have the house to yourself which we didn't realise when we booked it. However, you don't see the owners and your little self contained room is accessible without disturbing them.”

Lots of toys books and dvds for rainy days. Pretty much all bases are covered! Such a special place highly recommend.”

“Nelson is a wonderful community, and this property is ideally located -- close to downtown, grocery stores, and nearby hiking. Shared bike/ped paths were also nearby for quick access. The unit has a couple of bicycles, and we used these as our primary in-town transportation. The kitchen is well equipped with a good complement of appliances. The garden is a quiet haven with lots of flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. This place is a great find!”

“The place is remote and fabulous with a steep gravel driveway and set far above the road for noiseless nights of stargazing. It requires a little bit of off grid savvy but nothing even this 60 year old New Yorker couldn’t learn in seconds. The view is absolutely stunning, the house is quite comfortable. Very comfortable beds, spotless, shower, washing machine, beautiful, wounding, deck, Thoughtful touches as well, kitchen with small walkin pantry was clean and well-equipped. Surrounded by lush,……

“Over all good bar the sleeping arrangements and the odd bath room set up which could not be locked for privacy. Not suitable for easy access with 6 metre boat in tow very tricky driveway and would be near impossible without a 4 drive vehicle.”

“My family and I loved our stay in this new apartment. It's often hard to find something really great quality in a great location but this was spot on. The host went above and beyond to accommodate us with our daughter making us feel settled right away. I have to say the bed was incredibly comfortable and really appreciated the high quality of the decor and items such as towels and linen. It really did feel like a luxurious weekend away.”

“This is a nice small bach, in lovely surroundings but there is no kitchen sink which means you have to do your washing up in the bathroom which is bizarre. Facilities include BBQ and microwave but no stove/kitchen”

“The view and location was amazing and the house was generally clean and comfortable with some dusty bits and some cobwebs. But the place is a bit tatty and run down. It definitely needs an update or a price change. The kitchen needs more equipment, wooden spoons, oven dishes and some decent knives. The upstairs bathroom door doesn't stay closed. The screen doors on the balcony are broken. There was a trampoline which my son was excited to use but the net is badly broken so not safe to……
