    The Hilltop Hideaway is a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath chalet style home with a view of First Lake. This is the perfect Adirondack getaway on a quiet dead-end right road off Hollywood Rd. On the 1st floor there is the master bedroom with a queen size bed. Up the spiral staircase are 2 bedrooms with full sized beds. The private yard offers a natural fire pit and lots of room to relax and unwind. The outdoor deck space offers vast area for outdoor entertaining. There is plenty of parking space available. It is just a short distance to the Hollywood Hills Association beach (approx 1/2 mile) docks and boat launch where you can enjoy even more of what the area has to offer! Minutes away from downtown Old Forge where there are numerous restaurants, shops, stores and attractions for all ages! Includes cable & WiFi & outdoor camp firewood. Close proximity to Bald Mountain and McCauley Mountain. Quick access to snowmobile Trail 4 & 4A during winter. Campers must provide their own linens. Bathing towels and comforters provided but under bedding must be provided by camper.
    Carry in/carry out. Leave no trash or food remains at the camp. Bears follow the scent of food and can turn a property upside down as a result of food remains left behind. NEVER put trash outside the camp when visiting. Trash hand recycling can be dropped off for free at Webb's Transfer Station located at 152 McCauley Mtn Rd.

Great place to stay! Had everything we needed and the place was listed exactly how it was described! We enjoyed our stay here, the spiral stairs were a hit for our daughter! Would recommend anyone to stay here.

This is a cute ADK stay close to lots of activities. We had an amazing time checking out the area and our children especially loved the local deer visiting. Recommended!

Beautiful location with lake view and access. Cabin is cute with a woodsy yard and Adirondack style furniture. We enjoyed the fireplace and the outdoor fire pit. Close to town. Some work needs to be done on the exterior ( painting and staining). Indoors, property needs cleaning in the closets where we found mouse excrement.

The rooms were all clean and nice, except for the kitchen utensil drawers had loose dog food throughout. Upstairs is a bit outdated, but it is exactly as pictured. The porch is very nice and the location was unbeatable for us. You can tell the owners care. Lots of basic staples available in the house - laundry detergent, soaps, extra toothbrushes, olive oil, spices, etc. Unfortunately we went during an extreme heat warning for NY. Without AC, it was almost unbearable, but I’m sure it’s fine during regular times. Many of the windows didn’t have screens, so we couldn’t open them for a breeze. That could be a nice improvement.

Hilltop Hideaway

Nice open floor plan.Has a large deck space and nice firepit. Convenient to Old Forge and surrounding towns.

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at this location. We loved it! The proximity to Old Forge is very convenient while giving you the feeling you are in an out of the way area. The location of this house is the perfect quiet getaway. The view is beautiful with plenty of outdoor seating. The accommodations were very nice and the kitchen gives you plenty of supplies. We enjoyed our stay!!!

Great Location

This cabin is in a great spot that is convenient to both Old Forge and Inlet. There is ample outdoor space to enjoy and the kitchen has modern appliances and was well stocked.

Peaceful vacation spot

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilltop Hideaway. We were very comfortable and especially enjoyed the large deck. The host was excellent and responded to my messages very quickly. All in all a great trip

Weekend in Old Forge

It was a great property. We played golf at Thendara Saturday and went to some bars and restaurants. Location was perfect for doing stuff in Old Forge and surrounding areas.

This ADK property was a great proximity to Old Forge! Just a short drive. Set in the woods nicely with a little view of the lake. Nice quiet place! Would definitely stay again!

Perfect hiking headquarters

This place was perfect for our family. Very clean, new appliances and grill, unbelievable deck, great fire pit and beautiful private beach just down the street with parking pass. We may very well rent same place next year.

We enjoyed our stay at Carl's place! The beach pass was a great feature. Fire pit and deck were great as well.This was our first time using VRBO, so I'm not sure if this is typical on VRBO, but it did feel like much more of the burden of cleaning fell on the guest vs other places we have stayed.Overall, a great experience. Perfect Vacation Location

This property was perfect for us who were there to relax, enjoy the views and play golf. It had everything we needed and the location was perfect. The owners thought of everything including the extras. We enjoyed the beach, the restaurants, gift shops and of course the magnificent fireplace at night.

Wonderful Chalet

We had a wonderful 5 days in this cozy chalet located near everything the Adirondacks has to offer ... gorgeous views, hiking trails, lakes & streams for watersports, restaurants, museums and more. The chalet was very clean and Carl was readily available to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this property.

Property was exactly as listed. We had everything we needed, very clean, cozy, beautiful area. Property owner was very quick to respond to questions I had upfront. Would visit again.
