Wonderful Property

Perfect for our family. Loved the ability to spread out but still have room to be together. The game room was great! Had a minor issue that Vacasa quickly addressed, as usual! Very clean. Overall, a wonderful property in a great location - within 30 minutes of several attractions. Would recommend it.

Comfortable Stay

The Willy bear property was very comfortable, safe, and clean. My family and I enjoyed our stay and were even pleasantly surprised at all of the infant/kid friendly options the cabin included. In the main bedroom closet there was a pack n play and even a sound machine! We brought our own, but it was so nice to see there was a back up just in case. We did have some issues with the hot tub, but customer service walked us through exactly what to do and everything worked out fine. The neighborhood is a gated community just as advertised and everyone is pretty well spaced out. There are not many marked out hiking trails (if any) through the neighborhood that we saw, but it was beautiful to walk around some of the roads all the same. Another highlight was the cinnamon roll shop down in town! Gogo's Cinnamon Rolls was not only delicious with several different fresh made options, but they also are a very kind and professional staff. Everything was very clean and well done and reasonably priced. An excellent breakfast choice for any day of your stay. All in all this is a great house with plenty of space for a small or large group for any time of the year.

Family Gathering enjoyed staying at willybear in Old Fort, North Carolina. I rented it because of the game room and hot tub which kids and adults enjoyed. Had some frustrations getting thru gate because of lack of code and not having code for game room which we were told was not included. It was part of The house as was shown in photos. House could use a bigger pot and skillet, but it was clean and had enough room for everyone.

VERY Secluded

The description on this property stated it was a gated community. This indicates to me there are people around. There was no gate. There was a place for a gate but no gate. There was no community. This cabin is beautiful but is almost completely isolated. We would never have rented it if we had known. Too remote for my daughter and I.

Beautiful cabin!

This cabin is nearly perfect. The location is beautiful; great amenities; plentiful towels; well-equipped kitchen; lots of great spaces to relax; game room is great for the kids. I’d love to give this cabin 5 stars, but can only give 4 because the hot tub wasn’t heated when we arrived and we couldn’t get it to heat up until the last morning before we left. Maybe a short that needs to be fixed? Because the property is managed by Vacasa and not an individual owner, communication was a bit of a challenge as well. Not bad; just not as easy dealing with a property management company as it is with the actual owner. We’ll come back because the cabin is wonderful! Just hoping the hot tub works next time!
