"Great spot for Tongariro. A few necessities nearby. Ian is very welcoming - perhaps too much so. Bathrooms need a deep clean I'm afraid (there was a hand towel in a very bad condition). It's a shame that the property details say access to pool and spa. Yes, they are at a different property (which is fine) but staying here doesn't give you the ability to use it free of charge (which is sort of implied). Really kooky little place with a really nice outdoor section in the middle of the hostel. Kitchen is very good "

"We arrived and the house wasn't cleaned from the previous guests. This was quickly resolved once the manager was able to be contacted. But the overall cleanliness of the property was poor, considering the 140 cleaning fee. So many spiders and bugs I had to go around and sweep the ceilings and walls so the kids could sleep. Not impressed! "
