Wonderful location - Definitely Check it out!

Hotel Kvarner is a wonderful historical property. The staff was excellent and they were very caring and attentive to our needs. Just a few words of caution - parking is a little difficult (everywhere in Opatija), lots of stairs in the hotel entrance and to the pool and sunning platform, and the rooms have "high" bathtubs / showers. We managed through those items. The view from our sea side room was spectacular and the included breakfast was a real treat - probably the best in Opatija!!

Quit looking and just stay here!!

I loved this beautiful, old, historic hotel! I'm so happy we decided to stay here.... from check in to check out it was a wonderful experience. The promenade is just off the Terrace and it is such a wonderful stroll by the water. We had a sea view and it was just stunning.

Don't look further ...this is the place to stay!

Not my first time here and I really love it. The building itself is great, rooms are big and spotless clean, location is fantastic, food is superb. Great to eat or to drink something on the outdoor terrace. It is extremely recomended. A special mention goes to M.me Mabel and to Mr. Selmir at the reception.. They are on top of everything, always ready to help with a fantastic smile.

The hotel is located in a beautiful historic building from the 1880's and the architecture is really perfect for relaxing and well-being. We had one of the higher room categories and it was really amazing. Also the selection and quality of food during breakfeast was one of the best we have ever seen. We really enjoyed our stay very much

Beautiful hotel. This hotel is from another era but completely renovated and impeccably maintained. Beautiful property, photos probably don’t do it justice. Spa is also very, very nice. Breakfast buffet was also incredible and included with the room. Views on the outdoor veranda are beautiful too. Do yourself a favor and stay here. The surrounding area is also quite beautiful. Lots of upscale shopping and restaurants.

Luxurious, but affordable stay

Hotel Kvarner is one of these old, turn-of-the-century hotels that put you in a time machine. Yet make no mistake, this hotel is remodeled and clean. It is somewhat luxurious, but not stuffy. And the people who work there are nice and helpful. I have to say, for the money probably a really, really good deal.

A few days on the Racetrack

Absolutely wonderful place at a perfect location in the touristic hotspot. Most restaurants, bars in walking distance and directly at the sea. Rooms are very clean and the view wonderful. I will definitely come back. For me being on the racetrack at Autodrom Grobnik also in a not far distance. Driving time to the track, is around 30min.

Excellent except for parking

The hotel premises and rooms were very impressive. We enjoyed the beach and the pool and the breakfast (although they should figure out a way to keep the pigeons away from the breakfast). However, parking was a big negative - your website says "parking available," but when we arrived we were told there was no room and sent to a nearby garage. I was told how to get to the garage but not how to get out of it, and ended up going down a dead-end street that caused great difficulty in turning around. On top of which the garage charged me 77 euros (cash only) for two days. Worse, when I asked the hotel if they could get us parking our last night, so we could check out easily, I was told Yes, but when we arrived back from dinner later that night the person on duty had no knowledge of that and insisted that no parking was available. Very badly handled all around.
