Excellent Spot!
A great location for a secluded and relaxing vacation. My kids loved the "bridge" in the loft and the space was perfect for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids. There isn't a beach per se, but my two kids were able to pretty easily access the water via the ladder on the dock or the shore rocks without jumping off the dock.

Great house!
Really fun and lovely house. Such a great location with a quiet cove for great canoeing. We spent the mornings on the quiet dock with coffee and the evenings canoeing the cove and playing board games after the sun went down. The kids loved catching fish off the dock! Do make sure you're ready for stairs as the walk up and down from the dock gives you a workout, but this place is totally worth the effort.

Wonderful as usual!
This was our 7th year staying at the Tree House. We always look forward to coming back to "our" house nestled in the trees. The house is well-stocked with all that we need in the kitchen and along with many appliances. The house is perfectly situated in a protected cove with only five other houses sharing it, and we have become friends with our neighbors. Morton & Furbish has always been attentive to our needs and always friendly and helpful.

Treehouse
Second time we've rented this camp. Unique design, lovely front porch/deck for reading, east access to walks in Stephen Phillips preserve, nice dock area with deep water for swimming. Because it is in a cove, you're next to neighbors - wonderful family to the left, somewhat standoffish family to the right. Not a camp for people who can't climb lots of stairs, but t just fine for us. Wonderful week all around.

5 Stars
We just finished our 6th stay in the Tree House about a week and a half ago. It's one of our favorite cabins. So pretty and clean. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds at the feeder on the deck this year. They came to visit every day we were there. We had a little difficulty finding restaurants open the early part of the week, but had a delicious flatbread pizza in Moose Alley on Monday. Loon Lodge in Rangeley is always a favorite of ours. We had a couple of meals at 45th Parallel at the bar. The pulled pork egg rolls were amazing! We got to do our favorite hikes up to Angel Falls and then Smalls Falls where we soaked in the cold (!) water on a very warm day. It was exhilarating. The water in the Kennebago River was very low this year but we still managed a 3 hour paddle in our kayaks. As always, our week went too quickly and we are left with more incredible memories. We've already started counting down the days until we return.

Tree House Review
Quiet, remote, well equipped, and tasteful. Beautiful addition and the dock was great for the boat as was the semi-protected cove. We'll be back. The only issue was the heat for the main part of the house would not work and it got a little cool at night but we worked through that.

Great property
Very nice and clean house with new looking master bedroom suite, which was very comfortable. The doc has a beautiful view of the lower part of Mooselookmeguntic Lake and was great for our boat; plenty of water. The slope down to the doc may be challenging for some, but overall a great property. We had a very enjoyable week at the Tree House!

Another Great Stay at Tree House
This was our 7th year renting the Tree House and we have already booked for 2023. We love this cabin! It's always so clean, the location is remote, and it has everything we need for the week. Even though the cabin is remote, the drive to Rangeley or Oquossoc does not take that long. We love Loon Lodge, just past downtown Rangeley, for dinner and drinks. It's hard to find a restaurant open on Mondays since the pandemic, so we've started going to Moose Alley. They have a bar we can sit at to have a drink and a delicious flatbread pizza. We just discovered Portage Brewhouse this year in Oquossoc. We will definitely go back there again. I can't say enough good things about Oquossoc grocery! They make the best breakfast sandwiches! We are already counting down the days until our next stay!
Staying in Tree House is just that...you are in the trees, lots of birches and birds...
Waterfront is gorgeous...stair case down to waterfront is a work out and not easy with kayaks and canoes...fun...like climbing on a trail at the bottom...rental people were very attentive...
Great fun exploring the beauty of Oquossic and the Rangely lakes region.

Relaxing family stay
We had a wonderful week. This house was nearly perfect for our family of 4 and dog. The walk down to the water was steep, but swimming from the dock was lovely. The porch was also a great relaxing spot. It is a small house with a very tiny kitchen and no dishwasher. This was not a big problem, but there is minimal counter space, so we ran out of room for our food. We mostly stayed in and relaxed all week.

This Cabin Feels Like Home
First of all, I have to complement Morton and Furbish. We have been booking with them for at least 5 years, and they are always so helpful and friendly. They always respond promptly when I've had to email with questions or concerns. We have stayed at the Tree House on our trip to Maine for the past 5 years now. We booked it again for next year, and are already counting down the days. We love the layout and design. The steps might be steep down to and back up from the lake but it's well worth it. It is so peaceful at this part of the lake. We bring our own kayaks and although it's too steep to get them down to the dock of this cabin for us, we can put them in down the end of the road and paddle them back to the cabin's dock. We love paddling on Mooselookmeguntic, Cupsuptic and the Kennebunk River. There are great restaurants in Rangeley. Forks in the Air, Loon Lodge and Hungry Trout are some of our favorites for a nice dinner. Red Onion is consistently good for pizza and sandwiches, as is Sarge's. Bald Mountain Camps is also nice for a good meal. So much to see and do that one week is never enough. But that's what keeps us coming back. We absolutely love this area of Maine!

Tree House
Tree House has everything we needed for a wonderful two weeks. We owned a camp on the Bemis Rd for 20 years, so we knew the area very well. The building, the stuff inside it, etc are all perfect for 4-5 people. The cove has five camps, so it doesn't have the privacy a camp on a straighter shoreline would have and you should think twice if you mind climbing stairs, but this is a very nice spot owned by someone who designed creatively and has a strong sense of place. Thank you very much!

My two boys and I spent a heavenly week at the Treehouse. We didn't mind the stairs to the dock at all. The house was perfect, the kitchen was well stocked with everything to cook, the bedrooms are beautiful and well appointed. We loved the location. The bathroom was a little tight, but it really didn't matter in the big picture. An incredibly memorable stay for us. What a spot!

We Loved This Cabin!
We just got back from our week at the Tree House. Loved it!
We love the layout of this cabin. It has an open floor plan and awesome catwalk! The kitchen is well appointed with everything we could need. Kudos to your cleaning crew. It's the only cabin we've rented on the lake where there weren't a bunch of cobwebs inside. The only reason I didn't give this cabin 5 stars is because of the walk down to the water. Or, I should say, back up to the cabin. It is steep with a lot of steps. Not really their fault and we managed. You just have to remember everything you need to carry down with you so you don't have to make a second trip.
There are many good places to eat in the area. Bald Mountain Camps is a wonderful place to eat while watching the sun set. They have an awesome prime rib on Saturday nights. Loon Lodge in Rangeley is also another of our favorites. Excellent food and drinks. Sarge's in Rangeley has the best New England Clam Chowder I've ever had!
We are already counting down the days until next year!

I recently stayed at the Tree House for a wonderful relaxing week. The house is even more welcoming and comfortable than the pics show. The beautiful clear lake and inviting decks kept us outside from dawn to dusk. It was very well stocked and I ended up not using anything from the box of "extras" that I brought along. We weren't lucky enough to see a moose but there were plenty of tracks on the road in front. I am saving the Tree House in my "favorites" as I definitely will be back.
