Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn

"We stayed in a 3 Queen bed room. One thing that was confusing when we first walked in was the layout. When the front door is open, the bedroom with the 3rd bed is completely hidden from view, so you cannot see it at all. Since we were expecting three beds, it was initially confusing to figure out where the third bed was located. It would be helpful to have clearer signage or a more intuitive layout. The hotel is definitely in need of some refreshing. There were chipped tiles, some discoloration and caulking issues around the bathtub, trim around the mirror that was coming loose, and a few other minor imperfections throughout the room. Nothing was a major issue, but the room showed its age. There were several positives, though. The lobby is open 24 hours, and fresh cookies are available after 6 p.m. Regular coffee was also available in the office/lobby area. In the room, the coffee maker was supplied with regular and decaf coffee, along with a variety of chamomile teas. The website advertised a grab-and-go breakfast, so we were pleasantly surprised to find a full continental breakfast instead. There was a good variety of choices, including a conveyor-belt pancake machine. The staff was friendly and welcoming as well. The location is excellent for exploring the area on foot. Walking distance to Seaside main street. Located on the Boardwalk and next door to the Aquarium."

"This hotel is in an excellent location where you can take short, scenic walks or take the Riverfront Trolley. We enjoyed the decor of our theme room and bird watching from our balcony as well as some nice harbor views. The room, itself was quite comfortable and had all of the amenities we wished. The hot breakfast provided was very good and filling. The staff were also pleasant and helpful so we had a very enjoyable stay here."

"The room was clean and the bed was somewhat comfortable. The main elevator was down, which wasn't so bad for me but it wasn't good for those staying at the other end of the hotel. There was only one coffee packet , 2 would have been better. Oh and there is never enough cream and sugar. It was okay overall, but next time I will stay somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend it if you are staying more than one night. Something about the hotel and the area gave me an uneasy feeling."
