My Stay

The property itself is great, can't fault it at all. Very secure and set in a nice quiet area, local shops and cafe/bars nearby. Nice garden and pool for relaxing. Absolutely no issues with the owner prior to arrival. However, communication with the Property Manager could have been better. After being shown around the property, I had an issue connecting to the wi-fi. When I contacted the Property Manager (Friday around 4.00pm) he wasn't interested, as it was "Friday Afternoon". The property could have been cleaner (there was rubbish/debris under the bed and some long hairs on the floor), but I am sure this is down to the Property Manager and not the owner. I also left something at the property, and the Property Manager has yet to respond to my (read) message.

Modern, cool and stylish villa equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Comfy beds and lovely pool. Easy parking just outside the house. Walking distance to supermarket. 10 min drive to beaches and Zenia Boulevard. Overall a great stay.

Great property

Property was great with a fantastic outdoor space and sun terrace area. Air conditioning in main living area and bedrooms. This was essential during the heat wave and was very much appreciated, much better than fans. Lots of general information provided at the property but no instructions available for use of appliances which would have been helpful. Pool was small but more than adequate for a dip and keeping you cool. It wasn't cleaned during our seven day stay which was disappointing and necessary. If bothered by mosquitoes then there are lots in the area. Come prepared with repellent. Location is fine if you have a car but there are no pavements to Cabo Roig and La Zenia. You can walk the dirt roads to La Zenia but safer by taxi or public transport (if available, didn't check). If you require access to the property prior to 3 pm be aware the keyholder may not agree to this and won't allow you to drop off your bags at the property. Be sure to arrange this in advance or alternatively make other arrangements. At time of booking we thought this was a possibility but on speaking to the keyholder at the airport we found out it wasn't albeit he did agree for us to pick up the keys at 2 pm but again no access. This was very inconvenient as we arrived on an early flight. Blind cord broke on arrival, phoned keyholder who said he couldn't get back on the day to fix it but gave me the impression he would be back at some point He didn't come back. There are restaurants and bars nearby (5 minutes walk) and Cabo Roig strip and La Zenia are 15-20 minutes walk (not recommended), 5 minutes by car or taxi. Overall, this property is really nice and the sun terrace and outdoor space are fantastic. The inside is spacious with two bedrooms and two shower rooms (one on-suite) which are great. Loved the property but was disappointed with the keyholder and general maintenance. Would, however, return to this property.

3 week spring break

This property is not a new villa as advertised. It is 7 years old and the facilities, equipment and furniture are showing their age. The owner advised us prior to booking that there were an abundance of English TV channels. This is incorrect. There are no standard English channels. There is BBC World News and BBC First( a channel that shows old series ). You can get some English speaking films during the evening with German subtitles. Upon arrival the freezer was so iced up that my wife had to defrost it and clean it before we could use it. She also had to clear the cupboards of opened, unused and out of date food items. We established that the refrigerator was faulty and this had to be replaced by the property owner. The oven has no shelves so you have to cook on the drip tray. The BBQ was filthy and had to be thoroughly cleaned before it could be used. I had to clean and hose down all the garden furniture and terraces before we could use them. This was due to Sahara red sandy rain but really should not have been down to me and should have been done by the property manager. We could not use the roof terrace for the same reason but no way of cleaning this as hose not long enough. Again should have been cleaned by property manager. Despite promises from the property manager the pool was not cleaned at all during our 3 week stay. They blamed poor weather but the pool should still have been cleaned. Very limited kitchen utensils, only 2 coffee mugs with handles. We requested a partial refund from property owner due to issues encountered but this was declined. He blamed us for not notifying the property manager but both the manager and owner were made aware of the issues immediately upon arrival and during our stay. This property is not worth the rent being charged. We have rented far better villas in the area for the same or lower price.

Enjoyable Stay

We’ve had a wonderful five weeks at Casa Laura. This modern and comfortable villa provided us with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Beds were amazingly very comfortable. The villa was relatively clean on arrival. However there were a few things that could have been improved upon. Hence 4 stars and not 5 stars. The pool has been amazing. Also plenty of shade when needed. We did have to chase up pool maintenance a couple of times but this did get resolved. In our opinion car is essential to get to beaches and local area, about 10 minutes drive to lots of lovely beaches. Bars, restaurants and European supermarket within walking distance. We would certainly consider booking again

Un sinvergüenza, no solo conque este sr quiera cobrarte independientemente del importe del alquiler de la casa y sin estar reflejado a través de la app, 65€ de limpieza por la casa y más cuando la casa estaba sucia cuando entramos. Tengo fotos de como nos la encontramos, con el suelo lleno de migas y pelusas, los cojines de camas y sofá tirados de cualquier manera, manchas en las sábanas y colchas (sangre entre otras cosas), pelos en el desagüe de la ducha, cubiertos con restos de comida pegada, papeles en el suelo de la entrada a la casa, manchas en el lavabo etc. Esto se lo comunicamos al hombre que vino a entregarnos las llaves, un tal Michael, y nos dijo que no era cosa suya, sino de la sra de la limpieza que no habría ido a limpiar! El día en que nos fuimos, el dueño se presenta en la casa a reclamarnos los 65€ de limpieza y a decirnos que, éramos más huéspedes de los que habían hecho la reserva, cuando todo lo contrario, alquilamos la casa para 5 y una hermana no pudo venir, no sabía ni cuánta gente había alquilado su casa! Luego nos dijo que el tendedero era de uso privado, cuando no lo pone en sus normas y es de sentido común que se vaya a usar el tendedero si vas a estar en una casa viviendo unos días y más en la playa, que tienes que tender bañador y toallas. También nos dijo que el lavavajillas estaba lleno y eso es verdad que lo pone en las normas, que por favor lavavajillas y papeleras vacías, así que antes de irnos vacíanos el lavavajillas. Volvió con el tema del pago de la limpieza y le dijimos que no, que eso no lo ponía en su perfil y que además no íbamos a pagar esos gastos de limpieza por una casa que nos encontramos revuelta y sucia. Este sr se puso violento a dar gritos y tuvimos que llamar a la policía y tengo registrado en el móvil la llamada!!! Al final con los nervios y las ganas de salir corriendo de allí, se le olvidó a mi cuñado entregarle las llaves en ese momento, pero nos contacto y se las entregamos en mano. Una experiencia horrible, pero no acaba todo ahí, ahora nos reclama la fianza de 250€ por daños en la casa (mentira), por ser agresivos (mentira, tenemos la llamada registrada de que nosotros llamamos a la policía por su actitud agresiva) y por no entrégale las llaves (mentira otra vez cuando sí que se las entregamos). Así que las peores vacaciones gracias a este sr; os aconsejo que no vayáis, de verdad, os arrepentiréis como mi familia y yo estamos haciendo.

Fue lamentable, resulta que yo reserve y pague un dineral y aparte otro porcentaje por si rompiamos algo. Pues nada más llegar allí nos dijo que no nos darían las llaves hasta que no Pagaremos un dineral de la limpieza, cosa que me negué a hacer ya que en el anuncio no ponía nada como ya les enseñe pero aún así me han deducido ese dinero del dinero que puse reembolsable. Me pareció lamentable y además ni siquiera te puedes comunicar con ellos ya que no hablan ni una palabra de español. No hay microondas, las bicis están en muy mal Estado y los colchones de las camas son horribles y de risa. Pero sobre todo el trato me pareció lamentable y les pondremos una denuncia. No volveremos por supuesto

Traumhaft - Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Traumhafte Location, sehr gute Lage in einer gesicherten Anlage. Aufgrund der Nähe zum Meer kühlt es Abends immer angenehm ab, die neuen Boxspringbetten waren sehr bequem, wir konnten tief und fest schlafen. Die Strände in der unmittelbaren Nähe sind klasse, wir waren dort praktisch von morgens bis abends, die Kinder hatten immer viel zu entdecken Die Größe des Pools hat den beiden Kindern ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen, vollkommen ausreichend, um sich zwischendurch einmal abzukühlen. Der Pool war leider seit drei Wochen nicht gereinigt, aber nach kurzem Anruf bei dem Ansprechpartner vor Ort (Michel, spricht ausgezeichnet englisch) wurde innerhalb von nur einer Stunde (!) der Pool gereinigt (der Ansprechpartner vor Ort kümmert sich um alles, super). Auch der defekte Sonnenschirm auf der Dachterasse wurde direkt am nächsten Tag ausgetauscht, somit perfekte Betreuung. Sehr gutes indisches Restaurant fußläufig, ansonsten kann man alles einfach mit dem Auto erreichen (wenige Minuten zum Strand, Supermarkt, Patisserie, ...), für die Sportlichen gibt es sogar vier Fahrräder (Erwachsenengröße, Helme sind im Haus). Insgesamt haben wir den Eindruck gehabt, dass der Eigentümer bei der Einrichtung des Hauses immer mitgedacht hat: für alle unsere Bedürfnisse wurde gesorgt, angefangen von den Strand-Stühlen bis hin zum Weber-Holzkohle-Grill für einen entspannten Gillabend. Einziger Nachteil: die Internetverbindung (über WLAN) bleibt unter 1 MBit/s im up- und download, Streaming mit Netflix/Amazon Prime kann schon einmal abbrechen. An einem Abend hatten wir keine Internetverbindung, ein Anruf bei Michel und mit dem Hinweis, wo der Router steht, den wir kurz vom Strom genommen haben, haben aber auch das Problem gelöst - super! Danke nochmals an Rigo und Michel für die erstklassige Betreuung! Wir haben eine tolle Zeit gehabt, es ist uns unglaublich schwer gefallen, abzureisen. Wir kommen daher - trotz langer Anreise - auf jeden Fall wieder!
