I recommend that guests double-check and confirm with the front desk whether their deposit will be refunded automatically or if they need to swipe their card in person. I was very frustrated when the front desk employee told me during check-out that I didn’t need to swipe my card to get the deposit refund. However, after driving an hour away, the front desk called me back to inform me that I had to return to swipe the card in person......Lost my time and gas.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Lobby and check in area are also well lit, clean and inviting. Minor complaint for the room: the bathroom does not have counter space to hold a toiletries bag, and while there was space in the vanity drawer, the interior of the drawer was very grubby and had not been wiped down. The other surfaces and shower enclosure of the bathroom were freshly cleaned. We did let the front desk know upon check out. The property is split level, so be aware if you have accessibility needs. Our room was on the third floor and there are stairs to navigate (with your luggage) at the floor crossovers upon exiting the elevators. There is very limited parking on-site at the rear of the hotel. There is signage indicating the spots are reserved for hotel guests, but we did see vehicles parking at the same time we were entering the lot and the occupants did not enter the hotel, so the reserved spaces are not enforced. We had to use the overflow parking lot, which is two+ blocks away. An easy walk, but you need to be aware for dropping off your luggage, if you forget anything in your vehicle and be prepared in inclement weather, as was the case in our stay. Guest umbrellas at the hotel entrance would be really useful as we were drenched getting back from the overflow parking.

Hotel was nice and in a pretty historic building. I like the quirkiness of those things. Parking was the only issue. With lots of snow the main parking lot was full quickly. There was maybe room for 20 cars in the lot. They did offer off site parking which was ok but a short walk. I guess I assumed all parking was on site. Otherwise nice hotel and a nice area with lots of cool local restaurants and shops.

Stayed 2 nights with my wife - we opted for the sub-level King sized bedroom. The room was smaller than anticipated, but was ok as it was just the two of us. The bathroom however, although clean, was very cold - not just the floor tiles, but the room itself, felt like a draft was coming in. We also did not get our room cleaned / made-up on day 2, and had to phone the front desk for towels and find our own toilet paper. Was advised that for housekeeping services we had to let them know that this was something we wanted done, which always never the case at any of or previous hotel stays. We also noted that there was no key card access needed to enter the building from the back door, which led right into our hallway - there was a card swipe lock, but the door would just open. All and all, average stay, likely not to book there again.

Room was very small, ok for one or two people maximum. Cell service and wifi reception was very poor in this room as well as it was below ground level. Heater was loud and startled us a couple times in the night as well. It was however very clean, bathroom was really nice with a large shower with good water pressure. Staff were all friendly .

Bed was comfy, pillows great, shower was dirty, we actually asked for cleaning products and cleaned it ourselves prior to using it. The staff were great, loved how close to the downtown core it was, waterfront and great food surrounding the area. We could walk everywhere from this central location

The room was not big, but it was clean and seemed to have been recently renovated. The bathroom also not big but shower was great. The staff were very helpful. Can be a bit difficult to navigate to your room depending on where it is, you may need to take the elevator and some stairs.

Our dinner reservation at nearby restaurant was cancelled one hour before the time. The front desk staff quickly accommodated us in the breakfast area so we could bring in Chinese food for our party of 10. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Truly amazing

Staff was good, room very clean. The wall unit heater/ac was blowing cold air, so turned it off and the room was very cold overnight. The temperature outside was -20, so maybe it just can’t handle that, or we needed to wait longer for warm air. We did wait 15 minutes and it was still blowing cold air, so we turned it off
