60th Celebration

Reunion Resort was a great location to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. He and his friends had a great time relaxing at the pool and playing a round of golf on the Nicholas course. The Homestead Hawthorn is a beautiful home and exceeding our expectations.

Reunion is great for vacationing in the Orlando area, it is in close proximity to the Disney and Universal theme parks which is why we like it. The home we stayed in was a little outdated but suited 8 people pretty well. We would definitely return but would choose a different house.

Great House

This was a very nice house, on a beautiful quiet street. The amenities at Reunion can't be beat. We were able to use the shuttle to friends' houses, and restaurants. It was always prompt and the drivers were super friendly. The restaurants we went to were excellent. I highly recommend. Reunion and Hawthorn Homestead.

Vacation at Homestead Hawthorn

We stayed here for 12 days for our Summer vacation and had the BEST stay! It is very difficult to fault. The home is beautiful and feels super spacious; as soon as I opened the front door and walked into the main living area, I felt at home :). The staff at Reunion were also SO helpful, friendly and attentive. The ice maker was not working properly and they had an engineer out to look at it within a few hours, and in the meantime someone came round to deliver a few bags of ice, it was such a lovely touch! Rubbish collection was also super efficient and easy. The only thing we did notice is that when we wanted to cook, there were no pans or cooking equipment, but I'm sure if I queried it, they would have been happy to help. Honestly, it was the best place I could have hoped for, cannot recommend it more highly, and I will be re booking for my next vacation ASAP!

Obnoxious Noise

While the amenities inside the house were great, the patio at times was unusable due to the pool pump from next door grinding at an obnoxious noise level. It was on a timer, therefore it ran all day when nobody was there. We called Maintenance and was told, “it wasn't a Reunion Resort Home, therefore they were prohibited from entering the property.” This pump was 2' from our patio. This obnoxious noise ruined our experience at this property.

Roach motel and HVAC issues with a dash of non working pool

On balance the house looks nice however the experience left us wanting. Firstly the HVAC system was not working properly, as such we endured 66 degrees freezing AC for 2 days. The Reunion team did try to fix it but weren't able to for a few days and then finally got it resolved. Then we had cockroaches living with us running through the house. I've never seen them in real life before so this was unnerving. The last 2 days the pool wasn't working so we weren't able to use it. This wasn't a great experience and we definitively would NEVER stay at this home again.

Bad sewer gas smell

We called several times about the bad smell coming from the master bedroom. A person came out with ran a rotor rooter. Still smelled. Gave us headaches. We could not sleep in master bedroom. I asked to be called by a manager and it did not happen. It took three days to finally get someone to put the pool heat on. I called several times and it took until Friday for us to finally enjoy the pool. I can be reached at 440-214-5730. I would like some sort of rebate for the issues withy the master bath. Unacceptable.

Kawola stay

While the home was lovely and comfortable it was not very well appointed. There were no baking sheets or broiler pans, the ice maker was broken and the freezer kept melting the ice we did have. The master bed downstairs was missing a foot. There were no additional blankets upstairs. The safe did not lock does it need batteries?? It would have also been nice if there was a putter for the green. (We rented clubs ) overall while very spacious is was very dated and in need of an update. The pool also looked a bit dirty on the bottom and there was algae on the tile in the hot tub.
