“The property was great. We only had an issue with checking in. When we provided our credit card for incidentals my card was declined. We tried other credit cards including my husbands and they all declined. It was quite embarrassing however the women at the front desk was super helpful and figured out it was an issue with Expedia. She mentioned that when I booked the rooms through Expedia the number of people in the room that was updated from 7 to 4 became an issue and the cards wouldn’t work.……

“The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient.”

“This was a spectacular beautiful historic Inn built in 1818 with the most beautiful view of the mountains and Phillips lake from our window and it has a beautiful fine dining with the best food I had over all in Bangor! The Mother’s Day brunch was to die for! We definately look forward to staying here again on our next visit! As a historical place I had to learn how to use the shower sprayer, but after the 1st time it was no problem. The staff was super friendly and be sure and ask them……

“I had a broken shower. I was told the hotel was full as it was graduation weekend. That the manager would call me Monday. I never received a call so I called her. She said the shower head worked fine and that I was lying. I would never recommend staying there.”
