Family trip

Fausto was great & the place was really nice. It’s a hike into the village & the traffic is crazy!! I don’t think it’s the perfect location for seniors or children but a lovely stay none the less!

The true cultural experience

Thank you so much! My Hosts: Fausto e Rosaria were lovely, kind and very helpful.The 'Casa Serafina' provides a classic environment of ancient Orvieto period - as one can see in the photos. Each piece of orginal art and furniture has an amazing story to it. Like staying in a museum, also very homely. Easy access for car, and parking undercover directly underneath the Casa. I had no car, I came by train. I am so glad I did, as I went on many refreshing walks all around. The transport was excellent: a Funicular, local Buses every 20 mins, and the Train. And huge escalators automatic, just a short walk up the road, to take one to Orvieto old village - so easy. The kitchen in the Casa: well equipped. I purchased much local produce and enjoyed some excellent flavours. And save money, by cooking my main meal at the Casa. Also enjoyed meeting local people - so hospitable and friendly. A true Orvieto cultural experience, with character and charm. Is not a boring hotel. it's a home.

Très bon séjour

Excellent séjour. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Fausto dans une maison extraordinaire, très propre avec tout le nécessaire et une décoration qui ne laisse pas indifférent. Le parking privé est très appréciable, ainsi que les produits locaux offerts par les propriétaires à notre arrivée. La maison est située au pied du centre historique. Orvieto, perchée sur son rocher de tuf est une ville magnifique. Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire. Également un lac appréciable par forte chaleur à 20 mn en voiture. Une région magnifique (Perugia, Assisi, Todi...). Nous reviendrons sans hésiter à Casa Serafina et recommandons vivement cette location.

Location ideale

Struttura vicino alle scale mobili e ascensori, accessoriata di tutto addirittura una macchina del caffè con cialde, aria condizionata che serve poco per appartamento fresco, posto auto coperto, addirittura un biliardo, proprietario gentilissimo, ci ha fornito di un sacco di piantine, ci sono anche un sacco di libri dei luoghi dell'Abruzzo, inoltre omaggiato di olio una bottiglia di vino è un pensierino dell'artigianato locale, tutto perfetto.

Very nice apartment

Casa Sarafina is a very nicely appointed and attractive apartment. It is located just outside the walls of Orvieto, a 5 or 10 minute climb away from the elevators that take you up to one of the city squares. It is a nice energetic climb for younger folks or for older ones in reasonable shape. One can drive 3 minutes and pay for parking at the site of the elevator. There is parking, tight for two cars but ample for one. One has to be very careful entering the street from the garage, however. Fausto, the owner, has reasonably good English. He is willing to help and is enthusiastic about the Etruscan remains all around the area. He has prepared a nice list of restaurants that he says locals like. His Italian descriptions of the area display thorough knowledge. His English versions are not linguistically perfect but helpfu. Very nice place for the money..

L'abitazione è a due passi dall'ascensore per la città, perciò comodissima. E' fornita di ogni necessità ed è molto suggestiva. Unico neo, il traffico rumoroso dovuto alla strada adiacente.

Excellent rapport qualité prix

C'est la seconde fois que nous venons a casa Serafina chez Fausto, cette maison bien équipée, confortable est située au pied du rocher à quelques pas du grand parking où se trouvent les escaliers roulants et l'ascenseur pour arriver rapidement au centre d'Orvieto. L' emplacement sous la terrasse pour garer la voiture est très pratique car il est difficile de se garer dans cette région. L'accueil de Fausto est chaleureux tout en restant discret pendant le séjour, grande documentation dans la maison, et produits du terroir offerts. La circulation dans la rue est assez dense mais se calme la nuit. E la seconda volta che veniamo a casa Serafina da Fausto, casa confortevole ben arredata, situata a qualche passo del parcheggio dove si trovano l'escalator e l'ascensore per arrivare al centro d'Orvieto. Il parcheggio della casa è pratico perché parcheggiare non è facile. L'accoglienza di Fausto è caloroso, mette a disposizione una numerosa documentazione dell'Umbria. Il prezzo è modico per la qualità della casa.

"Grazie alla disponibilità, alla cortesia e alla sensibile e calda ospitalità del Signor Fausto,persona davvero squisita, il soggiorno ad Orvieto è stato splendido. Ci ha fornito molte informazioni sui luoghi da visitare e ci ha fatto sentire subito a nostro agio. La casa è accogliente ed è molto suggestiva, richiamando nell''arredamento il contesto storico-culturale in cui si colloca. C''era anche un bel terrazzo panoramico e la vicinanza al centro storico ci ha permesso di visitare agevolmente la città (volendo, le scale mobili e l''ascensore, per chi non è in grado di camminare molto, sono a pochi minuti a piedi da casa). Noi viaggiavamo con i nostri 2 cani di taglia media (mix labrador) e anche loro hanno apprezzato molto il soggiorno, dal momento che proprio dietro la casa c''è una bellissima passeggiata naturalistico-archeologica e il terrazzo spazioso ha permesso loro di giocare senza pericoli perché ben recitanto. La gentilezza, poi, degli Orvietani in generale è eccezionale!"

"Ottimo e meraviglioso appartamento in un contesto veramente affascinante. La casa è veramente bella e arredata in stile medioevale con un camino a legna stupendo. Oltre alle cose descritte e visibili nelle foto abbiamo trovato con piacere alcuni pensieri molto graditi (Olio della zona,dolci tipici e macchina del caffè con cialde a disposizione gratuita). Il proprietario ci ha fornito gentilmente indicazioni per il soggiorno e possibili visite in loco. Graditissima anche la biblioteca con vari libri "turistici" inerenti le caratteristiche di cittadine limitrofe. Orvieto è da vedere e la consiglio assolutamente per una vacanza di relax arte e cultura. Grazie di tutto Sig. Fausto è stato un padrone di casa gentile e discreto e un piacere conoscerla."

"Séjour très agrèable, la maison est très confortable avec tous les équipements + le linge fourni. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et serviables, de plus ils sont discrets. Le centre ville est à 2 pas, il y a plein d'' excursions possible et pour vous aidez de la documentations est à disposition. Petit inconvénient le bruit des voitures devant la maison mais à part ça on y vit très bien"

"This was a lovely apartment, very close to the elevator up to the town of Orvieto. The apartment was exactly as shown and listed, with good parking and a nice outdoor patio at the base of the town wall. The wood carvings throughout were gorgeous. Es war für ihn selbstverständlich, uns vom Bahnhof abzuholen und wieder zu bringen. Er übergab uns Informationsmaterial über den wundervollen Ort in außerordentlicher Vielfalt und überraschte er uns sogar mit Willkommensgeschenken."

"De woning ligt aan een doorgaande weg en heeft een eigen carport onder het terras. Bereikbaarheid goed, al maakt de drukke weg het in- en uitparkeren soms wat lastig. Vanaf de carport bereikt men via twee trappen de woning met eigen terras. Het terras (voorzien van tuinmeubilair) heeft deels een rieten afdak, maar ligt desondanks het grootste deel van de middag in de volle zon. Een parasol (niet aanwezig) zou geen overdaad zijn. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien. O.a. nette keuken met voldoende bestek, glaswerk en serviesgoed. Ruime badkamer met wasmachine. Droogrek; beddengoed en handdoeken aanwezig. Ook zijn er een tv, kluis en aansluiting voor internetgebruik. Verder was het huisje keurig schoon. De eigenaar heeft duidelijk zijn best gedaan met de inrichting de woning een eigen karakter te geven. De eigenaar is trots op Orvieto en omgeving; hij heeft een dikke map met veel informatie samengesteld. Bovendien waren daarnaast vele reisgidsen en boeken in diverse talen in het huisje aanwezig. De eigenaar en zijn vrouw waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bij aankomst stonden er een fles wijn en wat kleine presentjes klaar. Het centrum van Orvieto is vanaf de woning gemakkelijk en snel bereikbaar. Wij hebben er twee weken met veel genoegen doorgebracht en bevelen het van harte aan!!"

"Casa Serafina, Orvieto Très bel appartement, propre, bien décoré et surtout, très bien situé! La belle Orvieto est à deux pas, la gare et l'autoroute aussi. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et prévenants, il y a une belle terrasse et tout autour est aménagé avec goût. Nous avons aussi été ravis de constater qu'il y avait un réseau Internet sans fil pour notre portable et une laveuse (vêtements). Les inconvénients: Le bruit des voitures dans la chambre double (bouchons pour oreilles à prévoir) et l'exiguïté des lits jumeaux superposés qu'on ne peut mettre par terre(à déconseiller aux personnes de six pieds!). Ceci dit, ces désagréments ne nous ont pas empêchés d'y vivre un très agréable séjour à un prix plus que convenable (un prix étonnant en fait). Je recommande cette location chaudement. S.
