The ryokan and the area surrounding it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are very kind and will take the time to assist as much as possible, even with the language barrier. Breakfast and dinner is included. A free shuttle is available for pickup/dropoff between 2 stations at certain times, inquire when making the reservations. The room with private bath is absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely visit again.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Their English was good enough for communication, and the service was excellent. The room was super cosy with private hot spring, felt so relaxed. The dining was tasty as well. Highly recommend to everyone.

I really liked the environment up in the mountains. We had the private onsen in our room and it was very relaxing. We took the local bus to get there (last stop). The service was excellent and the food definitely showcased the true japanese culture. Highly recommend.

This place is beautiful! River view and the best part is there is a close hiking trail right next to the river and it has amazing and picturesque views!!!

Tranquil spot amidst nature
Quiet and relaxing stay. Not many guests as they have limited number of rooms so it’s good for a retreat. Only downside was that it is not very convenient so advise to travel light. The mountain slope made it tiring for us to take a bus there and drag our luggage up on the rugged slope. At least there is a shuttle bus to the train station when we checked out.

This is fantastic and in a super location. Catch a bus to the train from out the front or a taxi to Kansai airport. Better still, just hand around and go for a hike in the beautiful surrounds. The staff here are wonderful and the food is amazing.

We loved our stay. The place was really lovely and an amazing landing pad after a long journey from Los Angeles. Our 4 year old son had an incredible time with the ryokan experience. Home to be back!

It's just an experience in rokyan style.
It's an experience to try out the rokyan stay with the in-room dinning. Resort location does not any tourist sites to visit. Was a challenge to take the bus no 21 just outside the Hineno station to the resort. The bus driver did not seem to bother to know if we are going in the right direction. And instead we went to the Izumisano station where we found a helpful tourist information counter staff to guide us and call the resort van to pick us up. Overall do contact the resport for pickup if you want to avoid taking the wrong direciton of bus 21. Sad - no english on the bus stop information.

Outstanding ryokan in the mountains
The place is warm and clean with an exquisite local touch. Environment is serene and peaceful. Staff are extremely warm and paid great attention to our needs to ensure that we have a pleasant experience.

Easy 1 overnight onsen trip from Osaka
Easy driving from Osaka to have a relaxing day in an onsen hotel. There are 2 onsen, one indoor and one outdoor. Traditional banquet dinner is served in room and big breakfast in common dining hall. Staffs are helpful. Our room has a nice view facing a river with tall trees but no shower room inside our bedroom, that means you have to take bath in the public area inside the onsen.

A nice and comfortable hotel.
Everything is good, especially the spring pool. Renovation is new and comfortable, room charges includes free dinner which is not clearly stated in the web site when we reserved the room, and we missed the dinner in the hotel. One thing which is very strange, when we went up-stair to have breakfast, staff went into our room without noticing us. We know it because we left our daughters in the room to sleep for more, but a staff told us that we should not let our girls sleep on the movable bed and we are only allowed to sleep on the Japanese style bed on the floor. A bit scary that they took this little time gap to go into the room early morning. Other than that, everything is very good. Parking is also very convenient.

Beautiful, clean, spacious Japanese style room with private ensuite outdoor hot springs bath, with mountain view and river running underneath. Kaiseki and breakfast tasted good but nothing much to shout about. Very close to KIX airport. Hotel offers pick-up which must be reserved via email at 3:30 and 3:45pm from either Izumisano or Hineno station respectively. Drop off at 10am to either one of the two subway stations. If you have time to kill before your flight, you can stop by the Rinku Premium Outlets which is one station from Hineno. The outlet provides shuttle bus to KIX every hour for 200yen per person.

Its not bad but I wouldnt come back
The service was great. I called them in advance and they picked us up at the hineno station. Around Hineno station theres nothing so dont plan to hVe lunch or spend time there. Where the onsen is theres nothing around there too. They give you a hiking map but not a good hiking trail. Basically you have to spend the whole time at the onsen. If you choose a room without a bath tub you also dont get any shower facility in your room. Only way to take a shower is by using the common bath. For the common bath the tub is seperated for man and wonan so my husband and I couldnt spend anytime together in the onsen. Food was okay, they give dinner and breakfast, but not special. I wouldnt come back here..

TRANSPORT - Convenient. Nearest station is Hineno Stn, which is 2 train stops away from Kansai airport. From Hineno Stn, take bus 21 (20 mins) to Fudouguchikan. The bus stop that you alight is only a few steps away from Fudouguchikan's entrance. Alternatively, you can make seat reservation for Fudouguchikan's transport bus. It fetches guests to Hineno Station at 10am and from the station at 345pm, upon reservation and availability of seats. VIEW - Nice tree views in the lobby, onsen and room. The room overlooks a flowing river, which is very soothing to hear the river flowing. COMFORT - As we reserved a room with no bath facilities, only the public bath facility is available for use. The chairs in the room are rather small, unlike those depict in the online hotel photos which illustrate more modern and bigger lounge chairs in the rooms with bath facilities. The Japanese futons used were comfortable. PUBLIC BATH - Clean facility which overlooks the river and trees. MEALS - Breakfast and Kaiseki dinner are included. The breakfast was served in the restaurant. Quality of food is average. Dinner was served in our room. The quality of the dinner ranked the lowest amongst those we had in our travels so far. The food are pre-cooked earlier, not warm and some food such as fish is hard. Certainly a meal we didn't look forward to the next evening during our stay. SERVICE - Staff were service-oriented and polite. There are also English speaking staff around.

Excellent view from both the room and outdoor onsen. I like the fact that only 11 rooms in this 5 storeys hotel. It felt exclusive. Very nice experience !! Just half an hour drive from airport , it is super convenience and outstanding overall value.

It was Really Good for my Honeymoon 모든면에서 정말 만족스러웠습니다. 먼저 Kansai 공항에서 JR 열차를 타 Hineno Station 까지 약 30분 경과 그리고 Hineno 역에서 산정상 방향으로 21번 버스로 약 20분정도 걸립니다. 저희가 몰랐는데, 호텔에 역도착시간을 전화로 말하면 호텔 셔틀버스가 Hineno 역까지 Pick up 하러 옵니다. 아침 그리고 저녁밥 정말 좋았구요, 저희가 일본어가 안되더라도 스텝분들이 정말로 친절했습니다. 욕조가 딸린 방이라서 정말 편리했으며 바깥 풍경이 정말로 좋았습니다. 그리고 다시 역으로 가실때 셔틀버스로 데려다 줍니다. 료칸이지만 내부를 리모델링해서 아주 깔끔합니다. 정말로 강추입니다. 다시 꼭 가고 싶습니다.

Ryokan in the mountain
Ryokan was the last stop of the bus service. Was in doubt if we got to the wrong bus, but we met a very nice driver. When we reached the ryokan earlier, the staffs kept our bags and luggage so we are hassle free to travel to wakayama for a day tour. The services was really good as the luggage were sent to our room when we were back. And dinner is ready! The room was nice!! Opened our window and we have superb view of a stream. In the morning, we were woke up by the chirpt birds instead of noisy traffic. Fresh air and little clear stream.. Other than that.. colorful Japanese bath robes were provided. And the hotel amenities were good quality too~

만족스러운 고즈넉하고 자연친화적인 료칸온천
대도시 핫플레이스 관광후에 고즈넉한 교외의 온천 료칸은 매우 힐링되는 경험이었습니다. 친절한 접대와 전통적인 예쁜 방에서의 맛있는 저녁식사와 오차타임, 자연과 함께하는 온천과 제대로인 일식 아침식사까지 모두 만족했습니다. 가는길이 히네노역에서 택시비 3천엔 이상 나와 아까웠습니다. 무료 셔틀 버스 시간이 한 타임밖에 없는것이 아쉬웠읍니다.
방에서 오차타임을 제대로 즐겼습니다.
방에서 먹는 저녁식사도 매우 다양하고 다 맛있었습니다. 특히 사시미 덴푸라 된장고기찌게 디저뜨까지맛있었습니다.

가족여행으로 다녀왔습니다. 밥이 별로라는 이야기가 많았는데, 저희는 괜찮게 잘 먹었고, 밥도 양이 적지않아서 료칸 오기전에 편의점에서 꽤 사었는데 못먹었네요.. 료칸에서 공용 욕탕이 있는데 크기는 성인 남성 10명정도 들어갈정도였고, 같이 딸려있는 노천탕 크기는 7명정도 들어갈 크기였네요. 생각보다 규모가 작아서 좀 놀랐는데 사람들도 많이 오는건 아닌거 같아서 불편하진 않았습니다. 숙소자체에 딸린 노천탕같은 욕탕은 꽤 좋았습니다. 아침밥은 저녁보다는 못하지만 그냥 무난했던것같습니다. 무엇보다 여행중 지친 피로를 풀수있어서 만족스러웠습니다. 가격이 일인당 이십중반이라 좀 걱정했는데 다녀오길 잘했다는 생각이듭니다. 히네노역,이즈미사노?역 무료셔틀 왕복(시간고정됨) 있으니 신청하셔서 이용하시면 좋을거같아요 좋은경험이였습니다.

This is a traditional Ryokan with around 10 rooms only. Although not spacious guest rooms are reasonably well fitted out. Both indoor & outdoor onsens are nice & uncrowded. Dinner & breakfast are generous & delicately prepared.

여행 마지막 일정으로 딸과 둘이 다녀왔어요 셔틀시간 맞추기나 지하철 타기 힘들어서 이즈미사노역에서 택시탔고 4100엔 나왔구요 모든 직원이 영어 유창했다는 후기봤는데 한분도 영어 사용하지 않으셔서 힘들었어요; 안경낀 중년 남성분이 사장님이신지 아침부터 밤까지 데스크에 계시고 셔틀 픽업도 하는 십잡스를 뛰고 계셨습니다! 언어는 안통해도 모두 친절하세요 대욕장은 작고 소박해요 노천탕은 어디선가 보일거같다는 그릇된 의심때문에 못갔어요ㅜㅜㅋㅋ 가이세키는 입에 맞는것도 있고 향이 강해 안맞는것도 있었지만 좋은 재료로 정성껏 차려주신게 느껴져 다먹으려고 노력했어요 하지만 중학생 딸에겐 좀 무리.. 아침은 다 맛있었구요! 제가 가족 친구들에게 결벽증이라는 오명이 있는데 그런 저한테도 거슬리는거 하나 없이 방은 청결하고 모자람없이 잘 갖춰져있었어요 옆집 식당 안에 시바견이 있던데 이 료칸 안에 고양이 몇마리 돌아다니면 인기 터지지않을까 생각해봤습니다ㅎㅎ 그렇다면 계절별로 방문할거같음 높지 않은 가격에 료칸 제대로 체험한거같아서 추천해요!
