Site of Osmaston Hall Osmaston Hall a mock tudor mansion house built by Francis Wright, owner of Butterly Steelworks in the 1850s. This terrace still remains although the house was demolished by Sir John Walker, by then the owner, in 1964 when he moved to Staffordshire.

The village pond at Osmaston This pond lies between the main street of this pretty estate village and Osmaston Park. The village was built by Francis Wright of Osmaston Hall (now demolished) who owned the Butterley Iron Company, responsible for the fine iron roof of St Pancras station in London.

Great location if visiting Pride Park. Close to the railway station and stadium. Clean, comfortable room. It was great to be able to use the hotel bar before the football, as other pubs were very busy or home fans only.

We were welcomed on arrival and given a brief but thorough run through of the facilities as well as being shown the information folder (which came in very handy). The cottage itself was fantastic. Warm and cosy, with amazing views. The pool area is incredible and makes the cost of the booking feel ...

Remains of one of the Saxon crosses in the graveyard of the Church of the Holy Cross, in Ilam, Derbyshire. The church dates from Saxon era although it was considerably rebuilt in Norman and early English times. St. Bertram is buried here.
