Lakefront property with own dock on Otis Reservoir with beautiful views and garden. Great for fall foliage. For ski season: 25 minutes to Butternut, 55 minutes to Jiminy Peak, 6 minutes to Otis Ridge, and steps from lake for cross country skiing, snow-mobiling or skating. 4 minutes to 'downtown East Otis' with Katie's Country store, Knox Trail Inn, and gas station with all essentials. 15 minutes to Tolland St Park, 12 minutes to Jacob's Pillow, 35-50 minutes from Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Co, Rockwell Museum, Outlets in Lee, and the rest of the Berkshire's attractions. Max of 4 cars winter, 6 cars if no snow. AWD/4WD recommended if snow/ice -- fairly steep dirt road to go up when leaving house.

House has full working kitchen with china for 10+, pots and pans, cooking utensils, two refrigerators, electric oven with 4 glasstop burners, microwave, coffee maker, Keurig, and dishwasher. Their is an outdoor 5 burner gas grill. Seating includes dinner table for 6, bar stools for 4, the screened-in porch is used during 3 seasons and seats 10. Also has a washer and dryer and a back-up power generator.

The basement has a full sized pool table, dart board, and separate ping pong table. The 42' HDTV hooked up to a Roku with FUBO TV. This includes all major networks, NESN, NBC Sports Boston, ESPN, most cable channels, ability to record shows to view later (and FF through ads). Roku also has Netflix and can support anything else you stream (HBO, Showtime, ...). New high speed wifi (400 MBps, unlimited) through optical fiber internet. Selection of "board" games for young and old. There is a full washer/dryer and a second fridge in the basement as well.

Warm weather rentals: The house comes with its own dock 75 feet from the back deck. There is a boat lift if you have a boat 18feet or less. Also available are a canoe and 2 kayaks that can be put into the water. Otis Reservoir is a highly desirable lake because it is drained down 25+ feet every winter thus killing all seaweed. The water is beautiful and clean for all swimming and boating activities -- no green algea or seaweed. The reservoir is 1/2 mile wide and 4+ miles long. House has a wet room for storing all tubes, paddles, life jackets. Also, it is on the eastern shore of the lake which means it gets the afternoon sun -- more likely to be swimmable on marginal days. Also, good fishing right off the dock (for smaller fish).

The overall experience of this house is great. The view of the very clean lake is excellent and on non motorized boats, the local boaters are very courteous. The property is nice and private and had everything you could need for a relaxing weekend away.

The location was beautiful. Directions for parking and access to enter were clear. The house felt more like someone’s personal residence than a vacation rental. There were clothes in the closets, food left in the kitchen and no iron and ironing board. The mattresses sagged so we all rolled to the middle when sleeping. With some furniture updates and better cleaning to address the musty smell, cobwebs and ants, this could be a gem.

Amazing Stay

Band Weekend

Me and the 3 other guys in my band rented the lakehouse for a long weekend and it was perfect for us. Beautiful location, plenty of room, and very comfortable. The owners were very communicative and helpful. Hope to do it again next year.

Peaceful Oasis

What an amazing location. Quiet and tranquil. I would love to come back in the summer time to enjoy the waterfront activities. If you are looking for a great place to stay close to all the Berkshire's has to offer look no further. Marshal is a great communicator.

Great September stay

Relaxing Home with a Great View

Perfect home on Otis Lake with plenty of room for a group of friends to gather. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils, pots/pans, dishes to make a nice meal. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of outdoor furniture to gather near the fire pit by the lake. Keurig coffee maker available to make coffee in the morning. Nice and quiet, felt very private. Plenty of room for parking. Thanks for letting us rent.

Family weekend

Loved the location by the water and plenty room for our group of 6 adults + 2 kids. It was very easy to communicate with Marshal. My problem was with the kitchen, no room whatsoever for our own supplies in kitchen cabinets, also the freezer part of the refrigerator really need a good cleaning.

Christmas stay

The location is beautiful and there are lots of places to visit in the area. The house is nice; great view of Otis Reservoir. It took us a while to figure out the multiple thermostats, but it was a good Christmas house. The owner was nice enough to allow us to have a Christmas tree, and had someone make an extra trash pick up for us after Christmas.The one thing we were disappointed in was the cleanliness. Shower curtains were moldy, some of the dishes weren't very clean, expired condiments in the refrigerator and old butter in the butter dish and one really bad stain on one of the bunkbed mattresses. That was too bad because everything else was great.

Tranquil

Comfortable, amazing views, room for everyone. Granted we didn’t need all the room, but if you’re looking for a place to bring a group and stay together, this is the place. The views of the reservoir are stellar. We had rainy and cloudy weather and even about five minutes of snow during our stay. But when the clouds cleared the sunset was beautiful and seeing the almost full moon through the large wall of windows overlooking the water made me never want to go to bed! Just beautiful! Sufficient kitchen with everything you need to cook just about anything. Grill outside. There is a keurig but make sure to bring your own k-cups as they are not included with your stay. Overall would recommend this rental!

Very nice waterfront

House was very clean . Nice open floor plan. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds with 2 on main floor. however there are not 4 private bedrooms. The upstairs sleeps 6 however you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the next one or the bathroom. Okay for a family but not for adults.The grill was not clean enough to use. However the sunset on the deck very nice and it was quite peaceful

Great lake location and house layout.

We found this house to have a perfect layout, with an open layout on the main floor that overlooks the lake, a basement for the kids to hang out, and plenty of space for our two families for a weekend. Overall, the house was clean and well kept. The only insight I would add is that the house is not depersonalized and it feels like you are in someone else's living space for the weekend, with lots of family photos around, food in the cabinets and refrigerator/freezer, and many personal items around. Just mentioning that if you like to have more of a hotel feel. Other than that, getting in and out was very easy with the host. The location was decent for seeing the Berkshire sites (30-40 minutes to get to pretty much everything). Likely a great place to have fun on the lake during the summer, but too cold on our trip.

Beautiful View on the Lake

This family vacation home is large and well furnished. Comfortable, including the beds, which is one of the first requirements for a codger like me.The lake view from the large living room was a great backdrop for chilling out in the spacious greenroom.Kitchen was well-furnished, laundry worked perfectly and there was plenty of gas for the grill. Make sure you grocery shop before you get here, local markets are small, limited.Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay.
