"We stayed in a Double room (Point of View) at Düsternbrook and very much enjoyed the tranquility and the incredible view at the pool and our room & deck. The staff are all kind, helpful and happy to answer all questions. "The staff were all incredible, from front desk to dinner, all amazing. Loved this little retreat in the country, you can watch animals at the water hole from the private terrace off your room. Lovely pool area to relax in and they have a campfire in the evening with a view of the water hole. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was on the pricier side for a lodge at N$400 pp but the quality was outstanding so I was ok with it. "

"It's outrageous that Aloegrove has a rating less than 5 stars! If you are driving to Etosha or back from Etosha, stop at Aloegrove, and stay two nights. Aloegrove is a decent drive off the B1, but it is more than worth it. Johan and Ivy have build a marvellous lodge with Comanding views over the surrounding countryside. The luxury suites overlook the Waterberg plateau, and have an unobstructed view from the hilltop that Alloegrove occupies. The rooms have views of the plateau from the bathroom...

"We had a nice night at Khan River Lodge. The bed and cottage were comfy and the staff was very kind. It is a two hour ride from Windhoek to the town and a forty five minute ride down a terrible dirt road to get to the hotel. Also we had no WiFi until a guest of the hotel reset the router, and then again it was only by the office that we were able to receive it."

"Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass man etwa eine Stunde braucht, um die Unterkunft über eine etwas schwer zu befahrende Straße zu erreichen. Daher eher weniger geeignet, um Tagesausflüge von der Lodge zu unternehmen. Wir haben hier einen Zwischenstopp von zwei Nächten verbracht und uns vor allem entspannt. Dabei ging es uns wirklich gut - das Zimmer war traumhaft, das Personal sehr aufmerksam und das Essen perfekt! Abgerundet wurde unser Aufenthalt von Rhino Tracking, was wir nur empfehlen...
