"The postives… Good comfortable rooms and beds. Breakfast staff are lovely, reception are hit and miss.
The not goods… We booked an accessible room - my husband is in a wheelchair - we didn’t get one. We booked a city view and were given a room on the 2nd floor facing an intersection, and ironically, an accessible room. We were given the option of moving but it still wouldn’t be either accessible or Parliament view because apparently they don’t have twin queen bed rooms that are accessible…
The breakfast team are really lovely but it was very disappointing that the “crockery” and “cutlery” are paper (cups, plates, bowls) and wood respectively. Like being in a cheap caf and not what we expected at all for the price of the room.
The hotel is comfortable but the area isn’t really suitable for families - there is a community medical hub across the road with open drug use, begging and a generally uneasy walking environment. Walking straight up St Patrick’s is much better.
All in all, a very mixed bag experience "
