My sister and I had to go to the U.P. and just needed a place to rest for the night before heading back down south. We really hit the jackpot with Forest Gardens! Debbie and Alan are the sweetest people ever. Their home is so beautiful and we enjoyed our time there very much. Breakfast was so delicious and their hospitality was next level. “We arrived in the north woods and were greeted by a lovely host, one of a lovely couple who own this location. The hosts live on the top floor and rent out the bottom floor of this charming tri level. There are 2 bedrooms, one bath, a large family room and a small kitchen area with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, pizza maker, dishes, mugs, silverware. There is no sink or stove but that was fine for our purposes as we were there for a wedding and were having our meals with family. The……

“The cabin was nice having three bedrooms, and a nice view of the lake. Having your own private boat ramp made it easy for getting my sled on the lake. Gogebic grocery just up the hill made it easy for getting bait for ice fishing.”

“We loved our New Years weekend stay! Snowmobile trails were unfortunately closed so we did spend more time inside than expected- there was plenty of room for 4 adults to hang out; the cottage “lives” bigger than it looks in the photos. We walked to local bars/restaurants which was very convenient. And the cottage is also a stone’s throw from the snowmobile trail which will be awesome for next time. Well-appointed and comfortable- highly recommend!”

“Chris’ cabin is great! It’s in a perfect location between Land O’ Lakes and Boulder Junction. We easily jumped about to the best restaurants and art studios the county had to offer!”

“Awesome experience the host Holly was kind, attentive and informative!! Cabin Creek is an older home but very well kept! Great location easy access to great fishing, hunting, ATV trails you name it, it is available! 30 minutes to Ironwood 40 minutes to The Porkies great place to call base camp and travel the area. We hope to return soon!”

“Opon arrival found 2 dead mice in the house and they were not "fresh". The kitchen very poorly stocked, juice glasses instead of drinking glasses, sink stoppers not present. Very outdated. Walks leading into the house had not been cleaned of snow and ice. When we turned on the water in Kitchen it was brown so we ended of flushing all the sinks and showers. Had to trap and catch a bat that tormented the kids inside the home. internet was excellent.”

“We stayed for 3 nights for a recent fishing trip. Ronald was an excellent host with great information about fishing areas and techniques. There is a wonderful deck overlooking the lake with a fire pit. The use of the dock was great, especially the electric. All beds are comfortable. The house is superbly stocked with everything you can imagine. We will certainly return next year but for a bit longer. Thanks Ronald for all of your hospitality!”

“Our group of 10 snowmobilers dwindled down to 2 but we made the best of the trip. This house would have been perfect for our group if there was only snow. The owner was great to work with, plenty of parking and very clean! Hoping for snow next year!”

“We enjoyed our stay with our kids and dog, we only stayed a few nights but there was plenty of space for everyone. Two full bathrooms was a bonus and we loved being only a few min drive from town. We were disappointed there was no outdoor furniture so we opted not to make a campfire. And the washer and dryer didn’t work well. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.”
