“I loved the location of this vacation home. Updates from the photos as far as the kitchen is that the fridge is bigger and outside on the porch along with the induction cooktop. The grill was in great working condition. I really enjoyed cooking and eating outside on the porch. The view is spectacular. Jim was an amazing host and took the time to walk me around. I will be booking with Jim and Kim again.”

“My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in the Pineapple Cottage at Hulili Farm. While the location made sight-seeing around the island easy, we often opted to stay in and enjoy the sound of the rain on the roof and the sway of the hanging bed on the lanai. We hope to come back again soon!”

“What a delightful stay we had in our beautifully appointed clean as a whistle VRBO on the Hamakua coast of the big island. It had absolutely everything one would need and then some (thoughtful sleep masks). Large refrigerator, washer and dryer, extremely well equipped. The fresh fruit and fresh eggs in the fridge was just a great touch. All this and the adorable unobtrusive little pets and chickens made this a perfect stay Big Mahalo to Dan and Mollie, great hosts”

“A stunning and beautiful situation and location. The hosts Garrett and Kaia were so pleasant to deal with and very helpful. They made suggestions as to sights to see and good places to eat, going so far as to even picking up a meal for us. There was plenty of room at this location for all of our family and each member had their own room. Out grand children greatly enjoyed the animal life both domestic and wild. “We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful private oceanfront home. Sunrises were beautiful! It is a bit north of Hilo so it was at least a 20 minute drive if we chose to go out to eat. Being on the “wet” side of the island, we experienced intermittent rain almost every day, which gave us lush tropical views and the rain did not prevent us from getting out and experiencing nature everyday. The location was ideal for us otherwise, as we traveled all over the island and didn’t intend to just hang out……

“We loved this place so much! Thoughtful furnishings, a very nice house, but best of all is the location! We saw whales, stars, goats, wild pigs, sunrises, ships and barges, beautiful waves, and fruit trees. It was peaceful and quiet—away from all the people and bustle. But a quick trip to Hilo and other small towns with amenities. Perfect location to go to Volcanoes or just anywhere on the island.”

“Our Hālau Group Of 10 adults return to Hilo every year for the Merrie Monarch Hula Competition & Festivities. This Is our 2nd year to stay at Honomu Haven! We feel more at home staying here rather than a Hotel! Each day the girls take turns in preparing a breakfast before we depart for the day and also prepare a dinner to eat when we return in the late evening after the competition for that day has ended. Itʻs just nice to relax and visit around the large table in the kitchen! After a full day……

“We did enjoy our stay with some minor improvements needed. Number one impressive kitchen from photos but oven and cooktop were difficult to operate. We never did get either ovens to work. Poorly out fitted no vegetable peeler or box grater. Blender was broken and three chipped wine glasses only. This was rectified within 24 hours. No plastic ware for outdoor pool area. BBQ only had one propane tank with no spare to be found. Given the distance back to Hilo and the fact that ovens didn’t work……
