Relaxing getaway

We had a wonderful stay. We loved watching and hearing the waves. We enjoyed our breakfast out on the balcony each morning, watching for sea turtles. Would recommend this location.

We really enjoyed our short stay here. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We mostly were here just to sleep but the view - wow! - an amazing way to start and end each day, with sounds of the waves crashing. We would definitely stay here again, thank you!!

Cozy studio. Comfortable bed. Nice ocean view. A/C to keep the temperature comfortable. Take the motor scooter tour which is a lot of fun. Would enjoy staying here again.

Nice Clean Room

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a bit off the beaten track but that adds to the charm. Right on the ocean with beach access a few properties down. Clean and comfortable. It’s small but has an excellent bed. Joe was very responsive to our requests and provided more coffee when asked. Definitely recommend Joes place Jon

No beaches, but nice little place

This place was mostly as advertised. It is small, but efficient, great place to sleep and have morning coffee. The dead end street location is great, it's a nice quiet neighborhood. Check-in process was easy and went well. The area list per for almost 24 hours while we were there, certainly not the hosts fault. However, the hosts never reached out to us in that period of time to see if we needed anything or if everything at the unit was ok, we were disappointed by that. Overall, a nice small place with great ocean sounds in a unique little community.

Waves Crashing

We selected this location based on the price, location to Volcano National Park and mostly ocean front. We were not disappointed! The place is tiny but it was just the 2 of us and we spent most of our time sitting on the deck. The waves are incredible and crashed on the rocks just outside all night long. This is not a swimmable location but that was not what we were looking for. It was perfect for drinking wine at night and coffee in the morning in between our exploring of Big Island. We also discovered the greatest breakfast cafe in Pahoa that you should check out. Pele’s Kitchen. This is a place I would certainly stay at again or recommend to a single or a couple.

Driving there can be tough if you’re coming from Hilo between 4-6pm on a weekday. Also headed to Hilo in the morning is rough. Plan accordingly. The room is epic. If you catch a strong wind or storm during your stay, it’s almost intimidating. The waves are right there. We don’t think we could have picked a better location for what we were looking for. Falling asleep to waves crashing. Private parking. Easy access. Great shower. Pull down bed which is incredibly comfortable. Would highly recommend it for any couples

Perfect little hide away to relax

Even with Vrbo technical difficulties, the hosts were super easy to work with and resolve the issues. The place was clean, in good repair, had excellent views, and was perfect for a few days of relaxing. As soon as you open the back door the sound of the waves crashing and jungle critters puts you at ease. Absolutely loved it!

Beautiful, peaceful ocean getaway

This little oceanfront room is a wonderful place to rest, enjoy a cup of coffee, and watch/listen to the ocean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and there's no way you can beat the natural sound of waves crashing as you float off to sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed this private, quiet getaway! Great for couples and those looking for a non-touristy spot. Right down the road from lava fields and great local food just 15 minutes away. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
