Le Relais De Marrakech

"We slept in a nomad tent, the room itself is spacious and the bed very comfortable. The facilities are great, we really enjoyed cooling down in the pool, everything was clean and the food at the restaurant was amazing! We also had a hammam as a couple and it was very relaxing, definitely recommend their spa. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Overall we felt super relaxed and it was nice to have this little oasis to get away from the busy city. There are only a couple of small downsides. One was that the bathroom was outdated and could do with a bit of renovation. However the shower was actually really good pressure and temperature. Another thing to note is that it was around 39 to 40 degrees during the day, which is great for a holiday, but the tent gets extremely hot and stuffy due to the material, and it only has a fan to cool down. I think the tents would be great for cooler weather while probably the bedrooms with aircon is better for the summer, but we still enjoyed the experience. The hotel is also not very close to the city (which is why we chose it), but we booked ubers (cheaper than taxis and no cash needed) quiet easily to and from the city and we also took the bus into town a few times which was less than £1 and only a 10 min walk from the hotel. The clean air at the hotel and relaxing environment makes it worth it as the city can be very busy and overwhelming sometimes as tourists."

"There is no laundry service available at this hotel which was advertised & what we had planned on using immesiately upon checkin after our trip to the desert. We could not find laundry services we needed anywhere convenient & had to wear dirty cloths for 3 days. Also, despite the images & videos of super fun pool games there were none, so we played made-up games with an empty waterbottle and ping-pong balls....which we were told by the lifeguard we werent allowed to play as the waterbottle was garbage & not a toy :("

"Lovely hotel with huge rooms (three of us in a two bed apt). Gorgeous high ceilings and a large balcony. Kitchen and large living / dining area with lovely decor. 4 stars for cleanliness as a bit dusty but def 5 stars for the size, layout, comfy beds etc. Staff were superb and couldn't do enough for us. Really friendly and helpful. Hotel was about 20-30 mins outside (north west direction) from the Medina which made for a very relaxing stay away from the madness of the Medina. Back and forth in a taxi was about 200dirhams (£16). We had a great driver and just used Whatsapp to have him collect us and take us where we wanted to go. Be warned about the roads - the driving there is complete madness but definitely an experience."

"If you want to escape the madness of Medina, then Les Deux Tours is the perfect escape. Located 15 mins from Medina and 30 from the airport, the hotel is an oasis of calm. Set in a huge garden, there are multiple hidden gardens to walk through, with Peacocks roaming alongside cats and ponds with frogs and turtles. Our junior suite had its own court yard which was perfect for morning coffees and cards. There were plenty of places to eat, drink and the pool was perfect for chilling at. The staff were attentive without ever encroaching, always helpful and never imposing, I would highly recommend for a luxury break"
