For The Record

This is a wonderful house with enough space for 8. The pool and hot tub were so much fun, although be aware that you have to pay extra to have them heated during your stay! Centrally located in Palm Springs, but close enough to the airport that noise could be an issue for some. We did not notice any noise from inside the home during the nights. Would definitely love to stay here again!

For the record was a memory for the record!

What an amazing place. Lovely accommodation and great for our family. Plenty of space and the Mountain View was beautiful. We didn’t realize we had a “casita” until our second day but there is basically a studio attached to the house. We had a lot of issues with the spa though. Even with several calls to the property management (they were super responsive) we still did not have a functioning spa.

Perfect getaway!!!

Having never been to Palm Springs, we were not sure what to expect. The city and of course the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. The outside where we spent most of our time was incredible. The listing pics didn't show a hot tub or a beautiful outdoor cooking area. We were surprised and pleased to see both. Will definitely rent again!!!

Memorable Palm Springs Experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just spent 4 nights at the For the Record property with another family. We had 3 kids in the group, ages 5, 6, & 7. Everyone had a blast. The property itself was clean. The furniture a little worn. The kitchen was fully stocked, even with plenty of spices and a whole bottle of olive oil. Since not everyone in the group has been vaccinated, we tried to keep our distance and wear masks. The house was perfect for this situation since you can easily open up the sliding glass doors and windows to have air flowing freely in the common areas. The pool was perfect for little ones, given that half of it was shallow enough for them to stand with their heads above the water. There is a ping pong table in the front courtyard that can be enjoyed once the shade comes in the mid-afternoon. There are also a couple of board games provided and an expansive record collection. The casita worked well for a small family because there is a little dressing area (separated by doors) in between the bedroom and bathroom where kids could potentially sleep. The main house is difficult for 2 families to share because of the bathrooms & frosted glass doors. The master shower and hall shower share a frosted glass wall that still shows figures and actual body parts if pressed onto the glass (as tested by the kids). This frosted wall also allows light to enter the master bedroom when someone is using the hall bathroom. In fact, all the doors in the main house are frosted glass so keeping light contained to one room is difficult. If you like to sleep in the dark, you may want to bring some black trash bags and masking tape because a single lamp in the living room will shine through to the master bedroom. Overall though we had a great experience and would definitely consider renting this place again. Thank you to Acme House Company for a memorable time!

Great spot! Might run into some issues if 8 people are on zoom

I stayed here for a week with my small social bubble. All in all, a great property with a nice kitchen, cool outdoor area, and nice view. If you and your group plan to use video conferencing or streaming at the same time, be aware that you could get a slowdown.

The perfect rental for a group!

My partner and I joined 3 other couples for a 5-day vacation at 721 Morsun Circ. The home was perfectly detailed for a group of this size. The home has been completely updated and the outside spaces (pool, dining, fire-pit and even ping pong table were perfectly situated for enjoyment. We cooked in each night and had wonderful meals on the outside dining table, great conversations around the fire pit, and of course pool time each day.

Family get away

We (family of five with 8 year old twins and a curious 6 year old) had a great time. The pool was fantastic, as well as the great kitchen. The property manager contacted us about an issue with the refrigerator before we even got to the house, and when we got there a gift basket was waiting for us. The property manager was also quick to react when we couldn’t find the garbage bin. All in all- a perfect place, located in a quiet neighborhood, beautifully modeled and decorated. Would absolutely recommend.

Perfect Getaway

We just wrapped up a week-long stay at For the Record. It is a lovely house, stocked with everything we needed for a successful and relaxing vacation. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. We appreciated the little "extras", like a turntable and album collection. We loved listening to great music as we played games during the heat of the day! Definitely added to our experience. After being "stuck at home" for three+ months during Covid, this was just what we needed to safely spread out and enjoy a change of scenery. Highly recommend!!

Great stay at “For The Record “

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 3rd vacation rental in Palm Springs has been the best so far! This was our first rental with Acme, but it won’t be the last. We needed a replacement rental at almost the last minute when part of our group had to cancel their trip. I found this rental and a rep (Renee) actually called me to discuss. She was great! Really friendly and helpful. Acme provided all the info we needed before we arrived, and a concierge met us at the house as well! All info about the house was in a book inside as well. I called the “help” line about a minor issue and spoke to someone right away. She resolved our problem instantly. The house itself was exactly as advertised...very clean, very well stocked, and the view of the mountains was incredible! We will definitely try to book through Acme in the future!

Palm Springs Getaway

Our family trip was amazing and a big part of that was our lodgings. The house was very lovely, well-stocked and right where we needed to be. The patio in the mornings/evenings was the favorite place to gather and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The only downside was the wifi, which needs tweaking.

Nice house, poor a/c instructions

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented For the Record for a birthday trip amongst close friends. The property and amenities are impeccable, however, the instructions for the A/C were inaccurate causing it to freeze over the only full day we were in the house. We were miserable — my friends from LA drove home, my friends from NY ended up leaving the house it was so unbearable. For the amount we paid, that’s simply unacceptable. Needless to say, it was an awful birthday. ACME said they’re reimburse me for my troubles, but what they gave back was insufficient for the terrible experience we all had.

We absolutely loved the house and the property manager. However, one thing to note is that the house next door is under construction and has a temporary port-a-potty that is adjacent to the back fence. Because of this, there were multiple times swimming in the pool that we could not avoid the port-a-potty smell. Other than the port-a-potty smell in the backyard, we had a great stay.

A Record Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 7th spring break trip to PS and our 3rd rental through Acme. We thoroughly enjoyed this house, the interior was updated, comfortable and with the casita tons of space for everyone (we were 4.) I booked the house not realizing there wasn’t a hot tub, I was just so use to all of rentals having one, so, that was a bit of a bummer, but completely my own oversight. As noted the interior is fantastic, however the grounds outside were not quite up to what we have experienced with other Acme rentals. Lots of weeds in the beds and just not the most effective use of the grounds overall (just less activities outside - basically it is the pool and a ping pong table - which was great!) if I was payin for this lawn service, I would definitely complain and have them step it up a bit. In addition to lots of weeds growing they didn’t move any of the furniture for mowing, so the grass was uneven and weird. The house was clean, but the outside was dirty - food on the chairs, under the chairs and all around the pool deck and in the grass (chips, Cheetos, Cheerios) looked like the party before us had a tribe of messy kids and it was a little gross with wet, soggy food bits around. This is just feedback for housekeeping & lawn service - i would definitely follow up with them as it was not up to Acmes standards.

We had a fabulous getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fabulous long weekend getaway at For The Record. The house was gorgeous and immaculately decorated and was actually better in person then in pictures. We only had a few minor issues during our stay. Overall the house was VERY clean on the inside with the exception of a dirty pillow case on a spare pillow. The outside was what bothered us a bit. The lounge chair cushions were very dirty as were the decorative pillows on the chairs. They all need to be thoroughly cleaned or replaced. The deck also didn't appear to have been washed down and was filthy. We would have been happy to hose it down ourselves but the water was turned off (by a plumber on the first day) on the outside tap. It was a bit disappointing considering the cost of our stay but overall we had a great time anyways. We will likely use Acme House Company again on future trips.
