  • The Gem Theatre (previously known as Kinema Theatre, Hub Theatre) was built in 1909. In 1924, one of the reels of film got stuck in the projector and caught fire, igniting a full reel in the lower magazine. Only the outer shell of the theater survived the fire. The Kinema was rebuilt "as near fireproof as possible" and reopened in 1924. The Kinema Theatre was renamed the Hub Theatre in 1928. In 1933, the theatre was renovated and renamed it the Gem Theatre. After the advent of television, the theater could not attract large enough crowds to pay film rental fees. The Gem Theatre closed about 1986. The title of the last movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, remained on the marquee for ten years as the theater sat idle. Sometime after this the theater was again damaged by fire. Mark Childs, owner of Childs Construction, and his wife Heather, a retired dancer, purchased the Gem Theatre in April 2010, after moving to Panguitch from Henderson, Nevada.  After replacing the building's fire-damaged roof, the Childs rebuilt the Gem Theatre's interior and reopened it on 28 May 2011. #OnTheRoad

Hatten ein Zimmer im hinteren Teil. Dort ist für alle auch ein Grillplatz mit extrem guten großen Gasgrill. Alles sehr sauber und hat gut funktioniert. Man kann sehr schön vor der Türe sitzen. Nahe am Bryce Canyon und preiswert.

The lady running the check in is nice. I travel with my two dogs so when I book rooms it’s at places that allow pets. Booked this room for one night via Expedia however upon check it turns out they don’t allow pets. After some discussion and she honored the Expedia booking with the two dogs she did add a cleaning fee for them but that’s ok. I appreciate her clear communication on the issue. Rooms are nice,comfortable and clean. A+

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the owner it was all positive. So friendly and went out of his way to be helpful. Recommended restaurant for dinner and we got discount for staying at blue pine. The room was spotless and the bed had luxury sheets on. All positive. Thank you. Would highly recommend staying.

Cute little hotel in downtown Paguitch. Front desk was very helpful and the room was clean and adequate for our one night stay. Very good dining options close by along with a grocery store a block away.

This motel is outdated but well kept up for its age. It was very clean and the outside was well kept up. Even had real flowers growing outside each of the room entrance doors. I would definitely stay there again and the price was perfect.

From check in to check out it was easy and smooth sailing. The rooms were clean and had everything you’d need fora comfortable stay. An easy drive to Bruce Canyon National Park. A great restaurant right next door, and 10% off breakfast at that restaurant for staying at the motel. Wanderlust Cowgirl Coffee had great coffee and breakfast options. The motel provided free laundry on site after 5pm, which was extremely convenient to wash hiking staples. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit.
