⭐ 1/5 – Very Disappointing Stay
My experience at Venus Beach Hotel was extremely unpleasant. A staff member named Sofia spoke to me rudely at breakfast when I politely asked where the cutlery was. She told me I “cannot sit over that side” and then publicly commented that I needed to “dress properly,” even though I had a blouse over my bikini and was never told about any dress code. I would have happily abided by any dress code. It was humiliating and made me uncomfortable returning to breakfast for the rest of my stay.
Reception staff were also rude and dismissive. We had to ask three times for our room to be cleaned after ordering room service, only to then be told we were supposed to call room service ourselves to collect dishes - information no one mentioned beforehand.
Some restaurant staff were kind, but overall the poor attitude from others made us feel unwelcome. As the only people of colour in the hotel, the difference in how we were treated was noticeable and uncomfortable.
Would not recommend based on this experience however they have great amenities. Great area to stay but avoid Venus!
