"This condo was perfect for our family of four. The area is very secure and quiet, and there is a grocery store right across the street. We had the beach completely to ourselves and the ocean was warm and inviting. The hosts provided us with a lot of information that helped with our stay. Edwin patiently awaited our arrival and escorted us to the condo, and was very friendly and helpful! We highly recommend staying here!"

"Great place and very clean. Any issues we had Sergio resounded quickly to fix any issues and offered many recommendations since we weren’t familiar with the area. There is a new condo building going up in front of this one so the view was 75% obstructed and it was a little noisy. Very safe area and had no issues while on property. Restaurants within a 15-20 min drive, get your groceries before as the store next door is pricey. Would book again :) "

"This was an excellent place to stay and the breakfast was amazing. Just be aware our room was right next to the road so there was a bit of traffic noise. Also, the only lock is the keypad. There is no secondary swing lock inside of the room to keep someone from entering. Otherwise it is a very beautiful boutique hotel."

"Pumilio Mountain & Ocean Hotel was the perfect place to begin our Costa Rica adventure. Located between San José and Jacó, it made the first drive from the airport easy and stress-free. The hotel is just minutes from Jacó, yet it feels like you're surrounded by lush jungle. The property is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds, a lovely pool, and an open-air restaurant and spa. Breakfast was included and offered fresh fruit, juices, rice and beans, and freshly made waffles that accommodated our vegan diet. The restaurant also had several vegan-friendly menu options. One of the highlights of our stay was a couples massage in the open-air spa. Our therapists were excellent, and the light rain during the treatment made the experience feel truly magical. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with air conditioning and a full outdoor kitchen. We also enjoyed being close enough to Jacó to visit the farmers market, shop for souvenirs, and take walks on the beach before returning to the peace and quiet of the hotel. If you're looking for a convenient location, beautiful surroundings, and a relaxing start or end to your Costa Rica vacation, Pumilio Mountain & Ocean Hotel is an excellent choice."

"Our experience at this resort was extremely disappointing due to a lack of customer service and several concerning issues during our stay. Throughout the evenings, we were never offered beverages with meals, and it was often difficult to get staff members to acknowledge us. The level of service consistently fell below expectations for a resort. The condition of our room was also unacceptable. The bathroom ceiling was covered in black mold, which raised serious cleanliness and maintenance concerns. Additionally, we had an unpleasant experience at the pool. After placing our towels and shirts on lounge chairs and entering the pool, we watched our belongings being tossed on the ground, and taking our chairs for other guests without any communication or explanation. During our stay, several local guest informed us that the resort primarily caters to local visitors. We felt unwelcome as American guests throughout our visit. As a result of these issues, we chose to leave the resort early. Although we had paid for a six-night stay, we departed after four nights and incurred an additional $500 in airfare costs to return home ahead of schedule. The one positive aspect of our experience was the food, which was consistently very good. Unfortunately, the quality of the dining experience was not enough to offset the numerous service and accommodation concerns we encountered. American tourists are definitely not welcome at Barcelo."

"Loved this property is right off the ferry. We missed our flight due to bad weather and they were able to do very late check in. Love that they offer Kayaking for free. The ocean is perfect in this location. We were able to kayak to a near by beach where we saw some monkeys. Loved the free breakfast and the pool is great. Very relaxing and safe place. Great value. We also drove to near by beaches which offers a different landscape."

"Beautiful property, clean air conditioned rooms, gorgeous views! Good breakfast. The only reason I would give less than5 stars all the way was that the parking was tight and not very easy to get your luggage to the rooms. Stairs in one area and gravel. Bioluminescence tour was so cool!"
