The property is really great and perfect for what I needed. The host was exceptional in helpfulness, thoughtfulness, kindness and communication. The location is AMAZING as you're within walking distance of most of the best parts and attractions that Paris has to offer. I will definitely stay again the next time I'm visiting the wonderful city of Paris!! Highly highly recommended!!

Left early. Couldn’t stay anymore

The appartment is in a great location however the appartment needs some work and a good cleaning. The carpets are stained. Water tank leaked which caused a stain next to the bed. Beds uncomfortable. Linens are thin and cheap. It’s a ground floor apartment. We had squatters outside the appartment all night. The next morning it smelled like urine. We told the host that we were leaving and asked nicely to cancel our last 3 nights. My daughter was crying and my we couldn’t sleep because it was so uncomfortable. And we didn’t want to walk on the stained carpet barefoot. The host was not sympathetic to our situation and would not cancel the reservation. For the safety of my family, we left anyway. The host had an excuse for everything and put the blame on us. Beware before booking.

This was a great apartment very very spacious and amazing location very close to everything that you would wana visit in paris, also close to a lot of metro stations as well, the neighbourhood is very lively full of shops and cafes and great restaurants all within minutes by foot, Mr Li the host is also great and very accomodating helped us with everything from checkin to giving us a tour of the area, we couldnt be happier with our choice, a historic place as well with a unique history and background. We will definitely come back again

This lovely, clean, comfortable, and spacious apartment is perfectly located. Lots of dining and shopping nearby, close to the Metro, and walkable to many of the beautiful Paris sights. What made our stay especially great was our generous host, Mr Li. We loved every bit of our stay and hope to return. Thank you!

Location location location!

You can’t beat the location of this apartment! So close to access metro and sights and the neighborhood was lively and wonderful. We ended up eating all our dinners around in the nearby streets and didn’t have a bad meal. Mr. Li greeted us for checkin and took us on a tour of the area to orient ourselves. The kitchen had everything we needed too. As with the other reviews, the layout is a bit funky but it was definitely enough space for our family of three. The downstairs shower is in an odd spot (remember to close the blinds!) but the benefit of having two bathrooms in a Paris VRBO at this price point is well worth it. We really didn’t spend much time in the apartment but for an afternoon rest and sleep- we were seeing as much of Paris as we could! Only downside was that beds were not super comfortable and could use an upgrade. Our child had one, my husband and I tried to share the other one but inevitably one of us ended up on a couch each night.

Wonderful apartment

The apartment was clean, spacious, and lovely. The host was incredibly helpful before and during our stay. The location is very conveniently located for the subway and Metro as well as dining and shopping. Looking forward to our next stay!

Perfect Location

I stayed at this same property last year, and it never disappoints...so close to so many restaurants, landmarks, and in short, all of Paris! As I posted last year, it is a rather noisy location, due to a school and a busy street very close. Bring your earplugs if you cannot deal with noise, and you will be fine! Mr. Li is a kind and easy host, and we had a wonderful stay. I wouldn't be surprised if we return in the next year or two, after the Olympics and Notre Dame reopens. 5 stars!!!

Well Located; Nice and Helpful Host

Mr. Li’s apartment is well located to see sights and access Paris’s famous cafe culture. The flat is a ground unit, which worked well for my mother, who has mobility issues. We liked the large windows and unique layout. However, we did have to contend with some privacy issues. The building is pretty, so we occasionally had to contend with people wandering up to the front door to pop their heads in (thinking maybe we were a shop or cafe) or take a selfie. There are curtains one can pull to avoid this, though. The unit looked pretty good, as seen in the listing, yet I will say that it’s time for some new furniture. Much of it was uncomfortable and rather worn e.g; the sofa arms were taped with electrical tape, to hide the broken upholstery. The mattresses were also thin and not comfortable; the sheets a bit threadbare and old (but clean). With just a touch of freshening and updates I would have given five stars.

A wonderful stay!

Amazing location and a very nice apartment located within walking distance from many iconic locations and restaurants galore! We spent a week here and enjoyed every moment. Our host kept us well informed leading up to our check in and greeted us when we arrived (complete with a bottle of wine!). Mr. Li offered to show us the neighborhood and we thought that was very helpful! The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed to ensure we were comfortable. Nice beds and super clean bathrooms and kitchen. Plenty of towels and linens. Really appreciate the hospitality and checking in from time to time to make sure we had everything we needed! We walked to the Louvre and other attractions. E bikes were readily accessible and public transportation was easy to use and access. You will have everything you need!

Great location, responsive host

We had a great time at the apartment hosted by Mr. Li. He is friendly, responsive and enthusiastic. The location is wonderful. The rooms with beds are separate, but only curtains separate them from the larger living room area, so best for a couple or be sure you are comfortable with others who are staying there. It is very nicely decorated in a modern style. The beds would not be comfortable for many people. Especially the foldout bed and the bed in the second bedroom. The main bedroom bed is fine. The location is quiet in the evening and close to everything. We enjoyed being there.

Paris in July

This property is in an incredible location, with easy access to bus and metro if you don't want to walk. The host Yingchen is attentive, accommodating, and very nice to deal with. He responded very promptly to all messages. Entry is from street level, so you don't have to schlep luggage up stairs or in an elevator. Most properties like this are self check-in, but the host welcomes you on arrival and provides an orientation of the unit. It has a tub and toilet as an ensuite on upper level, and a toilet and separate shower room on main floor. Though the layout of the unit at times feels a bit odd, the place feels spacious. My wife and I visited with our adult son and felt there was plenty of space, if not necessarily privacy. My only complaint would be the beds, as the master bedroom has a very springy bed, and the other beds are pull-out sofa-beds. That said, I would still recommend the unit based on value and location. Additionally, I would add that though the unit does not have air conditioning, we found the indoor temp quite comfortable while keeping windows open a bit, blinds closed, and a fan running on both levels. It was hot when we visited (31C/88F), yet we never felt overwhelmed by the heat inside. Overall nice experience.

IGreat location, lots of places to eat. Host was very gracious and helpful, gave us tour of area when we first arrived which was very helpful. The only complaint i have was the location of shower and no towel racks, a little inconvenient but we made it work. We had a wonderful time

Fantastic apartment in Halles

What a great stay we had in Paris to start our family France trip. Wonderful location in Les Halles, so many good cafes, stores, and restaurants in the area. Convenient walking distance to lots of attractions, and metro access to get around the city easily. Also convenient train from CDG airport goes straight to Les Halles station and easy walk to apartment. Bed arrangements were great for the 4 of us (my wife and I, 6-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter). Good shower, tub and washrooms. Mr. Li was a great host, met us and helped us get settled, showed me around the neighbourhood and was available for any questions. Would definitely stay here again when back in Paris!

Incredible location

Host was extremely helpful, friendly and communicative. Location could not be better. Few minutes walk from Louvre, Seine, Notre Dame and the next cafes, boulangeries, bakeries and patisseries. The sleeping arrangements could be better. We left a night early and checked into a hotel because the beds and pillows were so uncomfortable. Like feel every spring uncomfortable. Loft setting with no privacy. Couches are in very poor condition. Bathrooms are modern and remodeled. No air conditioning so it is very warm even in spring.

An Incredible location and practical property

Coming from California, we arrived, very tired and jet-lagged. Mr. Li was communicative and so very helpful. He met us as we arrived and gave us a neighborhood tour. It was the best. We were able to shop fo essentials that we did not pack immediately and purchase food and produce from the neighborhood shops on Montorgueil that evening. The home is atypical as it is a loft and living spaces on the first floor. But, the amenities were fine and it worked for a family because of the separation fo space. The location is unbeatable as we walked the Metro/RER or to the Louvre. We shopped at the local bakery and produce market. There is a lovely Sunday Farmer's market and we picked up roasted organic chicken and cheeses and fresh fruit. What a convenience, a mere few minutes from the residence! I cannot be more appreciative of how helpful and responsive Mr. Li was. We forgot our 220v adapters and were able to find them at the Monoprix and the Francprix. Two locations for groceries and toiletries and general merchandise that Mr. Li pointed out to us that were very close-by. Do not hesitate to book this great central location. We could not have been happier. The home was immaculately cleaned and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay.

Lack of readiness, cleanliness and professionalism

I’m surprised this property have all 5 stars, it makes me wonder how that happened to be. In the master bathroom, the tub’s shower handle doesn’t work so I had to squat and clean myself however I could to get clean. While doing so, I did not know the tubs faucet can get extremely hot so when my chin touched it ever so lightly, my skin literally burned off (I have a photo of it to show proof). I took a picture and sent it to Li and told him I would have liked a heads up with the faucet. (Imagine how hot it had to be for my skin to burn/ peel right away when touched, thankfully my 3 year old didn’t join me on this trip or he would’ve been burned as well). He said “Sorry, I never had to accommodate anyone before.” I don’t care for the accomodation, all I wanted to do was give advice of having some kind of heat protectant so no one would go through the same thing. This shows lack of empathy and cares for the money. I’ve had some bumps with other property managers and this is not the first thing they would ever say. Aside from the burn, there are clothes and other used toiletries in the bathroom. This is extremely unclean. If this is the property owner’s, this should be left somewhere out of sight for guests not to see. The fridge had a few beers (which is fine, we didn’t drink it) but it could have used some cleaning. It had a random ginger and other miscellaneous old stuff in there. I dare not to put my leftovers in it. Here’s the kicker to it all - check out is at 11am, my family and I went out at around 6 am and we immediately realized we had accidentally locked ourselves out. I reached out to Li and he said he’s at a friends house and can’t meet us. I asked if there was another way to access the process and he chose not to respond! I know because it shows that he had read the message. All of this was on WhatsApp and I wish I had screenshot the messages but he deleted it. So basically we were robbed of our time for 5 hours! Don’t get me wrong, location is perfect for food, drinks and sight seeing. Aside from that, I do not recommend this property due to my experience. I have a good relationship with all of my other property managers and this is the first to fail on how to treat their guests properly and lacks extreme professionalism. Long story short- Extremely upset about the whole situation. VRBO, feel free to reach out to me if you need any proof.

Review of 2 rue de la Jussienne

You cannot beat this location for ease of getting around Paris! You can walk to many popular locations very easily, and metro and RER stops are very close by. Rue Montorgueil, which possesses charming food shops and restaurants is only a few blocks away. So is Les Halles, Chatelet, and Rue Rambuteau. The cathedral St. Eustace is gorgeous, and again, only blocks away. The apartment has a rather odd layout, as the shower is right next to the front door and not very private, and no closet space in the bedroom. But you can work around all of that! The location is noisy, given there is a very active school right across the alley and a busy street nearby. And it is on the ground floor, so all the bustle is right outside your windows. Overall, I would recommend this property highly, but bring your earplugs if you're not used to the bustle of a city. Mr. Li was a most gracious and helpful owner!
