We had a wonderful short stay here! The location is perfect if you’re looking to experience the city like a local rather than staying in a hotel. The apartment had all the necessary amenities, and the host was kind and very helpful throughout our stay.Our family of four especially enjoyed the charming little cafés scattered around nearly every corner—grabbing a meal was always easy and enjoyable. It’s also just a short walk to Notre Dame, with convenient access to public transportation.We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting!

Cute Paris apartment

I recently stayed here with my girlfriend and her friend and had a pleasant experience. The hosts are very responsive and the place is kept nice and clean. The location is very central and near the metro in case you want to travel to other parts of Paris.

Amazing Location in Paris

We had an amazing stay in Paris taking in the various city neighborhoods. Staying at Vincent's apartment in the Merais was perfectly located close to amazing local street scene of cafes, boulangeries, patisseries, restaurants, stores, museums and more as well as being close to a Metro stop. Notre Dame was a 5 minute walk away. That said, the apartment was located in a classic Parisian courtyard so we heard no street noise once we were in for the night. It took us a day or two to get used to the of the apartment. The space is small but we mostly just slept there. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms in the apartment but we soon became accustomed to this unusual layout.

A super apartment in a great location

Parisian adventure

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is located in the heart of the Marai district! It was so easy to navigate the city. The owners allowed us an earlier check-in and set up a private car for our departure to the airport. We would highly recommend this property.

Family trip to Paris

Flat really well located not far from river. It was clean and good use of relatively small space. All beds were comfy. Didn’t need to bring towels. Easy check-in/check-out. Would recommend

Good location, great for a short stay

We were in Paris for 4 days with our children 9 and 12. The kids had their own beds which was great. The shower area stayed wet from all the water spraying out onto the floor. Other than that it was good, we had everything we needed and weren’t in the apartment much. The area was great during the day with easy walk to metro, restaurants and market. The nightlife in the area wasn’t for us but it was quiet in our apartment. The owners were very helpful!

Incredible location, gracious hosts

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. I cannot emphasize enough how good the location was — steps to the M1 and M11 metro lines, in the heart of le Marais. Easy access to all of Paris’s wonderful sites and plenty of places nearby for food and drink. It was also incredibly quiet at night for such a busy neighborhood. The hosts are lovely and helpful — they arranged a car to pick us up at the train station and were highly responsive throughout our visit. One note of caution for travelers with kids or on extended trips: the apartment is quite small. There are not two bedrooms, but rather 1 bedroom with a second bed in a lofted sleeping area. The living room/kitchen is also very compact. It is not a place to hang out or prepare meals. A classic small Parisian apartment. For us, with a young child and too much luggage, it was a little difficult to maneuver. But for a couple or those traveling lightly, it was clean and efficient. You are trading size for location and the location is unbeatable. You won’t be sorry you stayed here — we would love to come back without the kid!

Great, but.....

Positives: - Great location, tons of restaurants and other shopping as soon as you get out on to the street. - excellent communication with the host, - Felt secure the whole time we were there (need 2 codes for two separate doors), - very quiet, beds were not bad. - Kids loved the split level for their bed. Negatives: - Great for a couple but felt small for a family with 2 kids. - The bathroom only has a shower curtain for the shower and the water easily gets outside the shower area especially when kids are showering, it was a challenge to keep the bathroom floor dry. - Shower ran out of hot water after two people took showers, rest only had Luke warm water. - Was offered a paid taxi service from train station, but driver bailed at the last minute saying there was a strike. I took a taxi at the station and had no issues getting to the property.

NOT 2 bathrooms!!

Pros: absolutely great location Cons: Overwhelming smell of mold. NOT two bathrooms as advertised. It’s one tiny closet barely big enough for the toilet and another closet with a shower and tiny sink. No counter space and an absolutely overwhelming smell of mold. Sheets on second bed clearly hadn’t been washed/changed had stains. FYI: walk up 3 flights of narrow, winding stairs to this apartment. No response from property owner about misrepresentation - not 2 bathrooms as listed on VRBO

Mixed Feelings!!

The building is very cute! The property does not have an elevator- windy staircase up three flights! We were fine but may be difficult for some, especially those with luggage. As mentioned in a previous review, the door lock is challenging. After traveling 16 hours straight fumbling with a lock for another 30 minutes was not so fun. The apartment itself is very efficient and clean. It is also very quiet. It had everything we needed for our 6 nights! The mattresses are very comfortable, but the pillows are very thin. The description of the apartment on the VRBO app is not accurate. It states 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, however, the apartment has one bedroom with a bed and a loft built above the bed with a steep staircase. The other mattress is located up above in the “loft”. You can not stand up in the loft. It’s just for a mattress. The shower and sink are located in the bedroom behind a door. The toilet (no sink) is located in the living room behind a door. Unfortunately, when we arrived and had hoped to shower asap we noticed a horrific mold smell in the shower. We requested a new curtain and one arrived in the afternoon. The air vent in the bathroom must be moldy as even after getting a new curtain the mold smell was still present- we suggested it be cleaned prior to next guest arriving. The smell was so bad for the entire week, could not keep bathroom door open. Additionally, a sewer odor would fill the apartment sometimes throughout the day. We think it came from elsewhere - def not in the apt. If the lock and the mold are addressed this apartment would be great! The location is amazing and we felt very safe!

Tiny tiny place, great location, responsive managers

PROS: The location cannot be beat. It's less than five minute walk to the Hotel de Ville metro stop, and maybe 7 minute walk to Notre Dame. The area has a lot of great night life and tons of restaurants within easy walking distance. And you don't hear the noise at night because the apartment is off the street behind a heavy door that leads to a courtyard (which leads to the building). The apartment is on the 2nd floor (1st floor according to the French) and the stairs will be difficult if you have mobility problems. When we arrived, the shower curtain was held in place by a rubber stoppered rod, which promptly fell as soon as the room got humid. We notified the property managers through VRBO and they sent someone out that day to replace it with a rod that was screwed into the wall. The apartment does have a tv with a few English channels. My daughter did sleep on the pull out sofa one night and she said it's decently comfortable. I cannot imagine putting 6 people in this apartment though, we had trouble fitting 3! The apartment does make decent use of cubbies and such for storage, so we were just barely able to keep our luggage stored away. CONS: The apartment was a big of a challenge for three people because it was very small. Getting ready in the morning was a bit of a dance. The toilet room does not leave enough room for sitting down, my 6'4" husband had a real challenge. And one night it was rather warm and we had the window open, and someone in the courtyard below yelled at us for talking, even though we were speaking at a normal volume. The hot water tank is very small, and we had to turn the water off in the shower unless we were actively using it to rinse off, so there would be enough for three. But we found all these problems to be fairly minor. I mention them only in case these are deal breakers for someone else.

This apartment is as wonderful as advertised. The location can’t be beat with cafes, boutiques and restaurants all around and many key tourist destinations in walking distance. While the apartment is small it is charming and equipped with everything you need. The loft sleeping area is great for kids and young adults but the stairs and low clearance may not be suitable for some adults. We would definitely stay here again if we get the chance.

Cosy and tidy apartment in great location

Fantastic location - quiet apartment but right in the heart of Le Marais so lots of fun right from stepping out of the door of the complex and the main sights elsewhere easily accessible via walking or public transport. The apartment was very snug once the couch bed was out but that was as expected and described, and it was fine for our family (2 teenage girls who absolutely loved the buzzing area).

Apartment was in great location - easy access to everything we wanted to do, very quiet and provided everything we needed. We are a family of 3 - my tween daughter stayed in the loft bed and loved it. Apartment is perfect for small families or a couple but would not recommend for anything larger. Stairs to loft are very steep - wouldn’t recommend for very young kids or anyone who has mobility/agility issues. Also, note that access to the toilet is from the living room while the shower /sink is accessed from the bathroom. Lastly, while the apartment provided basic necessities, we did have to get shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper (2 rolls were provided for our 1 week stay) and paper towels - not a big deal but just an FYI.
