The host seemed to have not realized their property was on VRBO. They therefore did not know I had reserved the place and it was rented on another platform (they also did not speak English). Two hours and almost all my overseas minutes to resolve. Though it took some time, VRBO was kind and helpful, and did refund me for this place and helped me find another similar place. Mischief managed.
