Nice cabin but…
We really enjoyed the stay and the home was generally clean. However the dishwasher was very dirty with old food at the bottom and we could not use it. We found some of the dishes and cups were also dirty from the food in the dishwasher so we washed all the dishes that we used and did not use the dishwasher at all. The frying pans are not clean at all and when we cooked scrambled eggs, there were little bits of the pan in our eggs. This was a real turn off and we could not eat eggs for breakfast. The front of the house is situated on a busy road and you can hear the cars drive by. We thought it was on 33 “private acres”. The firewood was wet and we bought our own even though the owner said there would be wood for us. We enjoyed the walk to the pond and it was very relaxing. Overall we had a great time and you can tell they put a lot of love into the home but I’m thinking the person who does the house cleaning is not doing their job.

Overall, the house was nice! We enjoyed our stay! The lake did not look anything like the pictures posted! You couldn’t walk on the dock- half was under water! And the boat was in the weeds! If you are looking for a place to hang and have a good time! Great place! We enjoyed the Hot tub every day!

Great location but would not consider this a lake house.
House was very clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed. Weather was beautiful and we were hoping to kayak on the lake one of the days we stayed but the lake was full of algae and Lilly pads etc. seemed more like a swamp. We did rent a boat on lake Wallenpaupack which was only 10 minutes away.

Great Property
The house was very clean and check in was easy when we arrived. The backyard was very nice, open and the trails were good for an easy walk. We had 8 of us plus 2 dogs and the room of the house was great, plenty of space. Tony was great to deal with and we would definitely keep him and his house in mind for the future. Plus the location to the lake and stores was very convenient.

Great getaway for state parks and more
We stayed at Tony’s place for a family trip to explore some State Parks and do a little fishing. The house is near the road but that is okay because there is parking in back and a nice secluded area with a fire pit. The walk to the pond isn’t bad, but it is all up hill on the way back. Good for a workout after dinner. The house itself is great. Lots of wood and charm. Everything worked as advertised. Kids loved the pool table and foosball. We used the hot tub, nice way to relax after some hiking. Tony is available if you need anything and is very accommodating. There are multiple state parks nearby and we also did some hiking in the Delaware state forest. Fishing in the pond we caught pickerel, bass and bluegill. We saw a bald Eagle fly by and there are multiple beavers in the pond. Would definitely recommend and would love to return for another trip.

Beautiful Stay - Everything we were looking for
We arrived and checked in after a quick chat with Tony. The house was very clean and relatively bug free - surprising considering the wooded location and my deep seeded fear of spiders. Just about everything we needed was there for our relaxing mountains vacation. Towels, toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap, firewood. The only remotely not positive thing I could possibly say is that the house does sit quite close to the road, however the front isn't easily accessible to the back (parking at both). Our kids and dogs had no issue staying out back and the road wasn't a concern. And being a country road, there isn't much traffic at all so it wasn't a bother to us. The kids, dogs, and ourselves had an absolutely wonderful, fun and relaxing time. We used the hot tub every day. The pool table and indoor amenities were entertaining when it rained for a whole day. We walked down to the lake a couple times during our stay and used the row boat and kayaks. Hunted for some frogs. Everyone had a very enjoyable time. Tony was a communicative and friendly host. If anyone is looking for some time to experience the woods without having to experience the tent life, this is your place. Also, if you need a place to eat - we went to the Dock which is conveniently only 7 minutes away. The food and views were excellent!

Best Weekend Ever!
If you are looking for a quiet, affordable, and fun packed trip - this is the place. The house is located on a road, but you enter through the side road and go around back so it feels like you are secluded which is fantastic! The lake is a short walk away and you pass the geese, chickens, and other birds Tony has too. Tony was great and replied quickly to any questions I had. Very friendly and a great host! The house was clean, has what you need, hot-tub, pool table, and the kayaks on the private lake were a great feature! Saving this place for when I want to come back in the future!

Frozen Family Getaway
We had such a great time. The house was really good and fit our needs well. The game area downstairs made for a nice separation between sleeping and playing. The bedrooms are of adequate size and had everything you might need….except clocks! The only clock in the house was on the stove. Having a clock on at least the two lower floors would be very helpful. Especially if you want to unplug from your devices! The kitchen was good size. Yes the kitchen has a lot of things - but if you intend to do a bunch of cooking, I definitely recommend bringing serving/mixing bowls. Otherwise if they don’t have it there - just go get it. The only downside was there was a leak in the roof where the chimney flashing and the roof met - and when it was not frozen, it leaked inside. Luckily it was frozen most of the time. The owner was very quick to diagnose it - but not a lot he could do to fix it on the spot. Like I said - it was ok for us - but I’d check with the owner when you show up to make sure it’s been fixed. The other thing that is very nitpicky - you think the house you are renting is on the lake. It’s not. It is near a creek. Not the lake. Not that big a deal this time - but I would be upset if I was really wanting the lake… Overall - I’d go back and stay there again. Tony is a great host. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Thank you for great review. The leak will be fixed as soon as weather permits. It was extrema weather conditions as we know. The house is advertised as Stream Front but it is on the same lot that the Lake is on. If you walk one minute from the house, you can see the Lake. I own entire Lake on my 31 acres of Land. You can go fishing/ice fishing, hiking, using my boats and kayaks, free of charge. Walking to the Lake takes 2 to 5 minutes depending how fast you like to walk. Hope you and your family come back and enjoy all that my Land can offer. Wishing you all the health and prosperity in the New 2023 Year!!! Tony

Just what we needed !
Everything really was perfect for my 50TH birthday weekend. The description of the house and property was perfectly accurate. We found the house to be a comfortable & relaxing place to stay. We used the hotub, walked down to the lake and had a picnic lunch & made a nice fire in the firepit in the evening. I would highly recommend this rental.

Nice Getaway
We had a wonderful time in Paupack! We used the house as a base for a weekend of hiking in the general area. The foliage was beautiful in early October and the hot tub was a very welcome addition after some of our longer treks. Everything went smoothly and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great secluded get away
We rented this place for an extended weekend bachelor party. We had 7 guys and the place was more than enough for us Tony was great! He was available if we needed him, but primarily left us to ourselves. The lake on his property was a bit of a walk, as the other reviews indicated. But it was not the primary reason we rented this property. We made extensive use of the pool table and spent the majority of our time between the game room and back yard/fire pit Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay in the mountains

Great space!
We truly enjoyed our trip. There’s lots to do in the area, the kids enjoyed the hangout space downstairs and coffee on the deck every morning was my favorite. My mother in law loved the hot tub. Overall a little for everyone. We did not make it down to check out the lake on property unfortunately, but the owner stopped by and was very friendly.

This house was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the game room and how spacious the house was. My issue with the property was it was not clear of how rough the walk was to the lake. We specifically rented this place so everyone including my father would be able to enjoy the lake and boats. Unfortunately my father has bad knees and the terrain on the trail to the lake was far to rough and steep for him to be able to use. My mother and father were only able to walk it once in the week we stayed. If i was aware of this walk we would have rented a different location. So i would say if accessibility is an issue at all visiting the lake isnt a great option. Also the boats and kayaks are not just for this house, there are multiple houses on the propery that share the boats so there were times we were not able to use them. The property itself is not as secluded as the pictures make it seem as there are multiple houses around you and you are on a main road, but the backyard is very peaceful and beautiful.

Spacious rustic house on beautiful property
We were looking for a house near Lake Wallenpaupack. This house was close enough to drive to the big lake and also had its own activities and amenities. It’s also very close to Fairview Lake. The house sits on the road but you access the back via a gravel road. It’s quite a downhill hike to the pond on the property but worth the trek. We drove down because of bad weather and no one seemed to mind, everyone is very friendly. Pond area is Very picturesque with kayaks, row boat, fishing,.. nature! Worth mentioning- (Not handicap accessible) we are active and were out of breath going up and down the hill once, but good exercise! The property owner is wonderful, laid back and super accommodating.

Great place for a quiet & relaxing family getaway
My wife, myself, our 2 young adult children, and our "super senior" family beagle all had a great time. The house was just what we were looking for: Lots of room, plenty of space for games and indoor activities, a fire pit and a hot tub that we used frequently. The house was very clean and Tony is a wonderful host. Will definitely stay there again for any future trips to the area.

A wonderful vacation spot
The house was absolutely beautiful and met the needs of my friends and I. The scenery was amazing and definitely a good place to stay at when you want to travel to the Poconos in the summer time! The house was clean when we arrived, the property manager was really nice, and the hot tub, fire pit, and pool table made our trip even more enjoyable. My only grips were that some of the beds were not as comfortable (so I suggest bringing a mattress pad) and one of the bedroom doors would occasionally get stuck. But other than that, I really enjoyed my time there and would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone who is thinking about traveling up here!

Perfect vacation
This house/property gave us everything we wanted and needed. Our group was myself, my husband, 2 kids, 2 grandparents, and 2 dogs, and we were all so very comfortable and happy, we didn’t want to leave. The house looks small from the road, but it is definitely not small! There are so many rooms and areas to hang out. The firepit, bar, pool table, hot tub, and smart TVs all got a lot of use. The kitchen had what we needed. Beds were comfortable. The top floor has a queen bed and 2 twin beds which was perfect and cozy for me and my husband and the kids. 2 more bedrooms on the main level, and a full bathroom on each of the 3 floors! The owner Tony visited us while we were hanging outside on our first evening there, and took us on a tour to show us around the property. He gave us a ride down to the lake. He made us feel very welcome, made us laugh, and helped us with everything we needed. At the lake, we caught some fish and used the kayaks, paddle boat, and rowboat. The kids were excited to see beavers, frogs, and Tony’s ducks and chickens. Our 2 dogs had the best time, running around, playing ball, and swimming. We definitely plan on visiting again in the future. Thanks again Tony!!

Great weekend
Tony was an amazing host from booking through checkout. His house had it all from relaxation to competitive games. The teenagers in our group loved the hot tub while the adults enjoyed the lower level bar and game room. Looking forward to our next trip!

Fantastic Cabin Get Away
The house has a great cabin feel, with an awesome hot tub and basement with a full size pool table. Beds were comfortable and clean. Tony is super responsive when calling. Fire wood was provided. Just a really enjoyable stay overall. And it doesnt hurt that the area has a few great breweries and winery not to far off either. We went in the winter, but I bet this place is even better for the summer because this is a lake town. Would come back for sure.

We had a fantastic time in Antoni’s house. Our teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the football table and the pool,and so did the adults in our party. The spa with a lovely view was a must and there was plenty of room for everyone (party of 6) in the house. We would certainly love to come back.

An Amazing Week!!
My girlfriend and I stayed at this amazing house last week. The house is so beautiful, private and super clean. There is everything you need in the house. We loved hanging out in the kitchen, dining area, decks, bar in the basement and in the hot tub. Playing pool and foosball was so much fun! The property is gorgeous with a firepit and stream. Although the front of the house is on a road, we found that to be useful for loading in/out for groceries and such. All 3 of the floors bedrooms are so well-maintained and their respective bathrooms extremely clean. I loved the lighting in the house. It was fun to create different atmospheres for whatever time it was! And Tony was the BEST. Super friendly and easy to talk to. He even gave us a tour of the lake when we checked in! Thank you for probably the best vacation I ever had!

Our family had an amazing time here by the lake! The house is gorgeous and very comfortable. We found so much to do while in the area and spent several days just enjoying the lake and ponds on the property. Fishing and boating were a highlight for our kids. We would love to stay again! Less than expected
The property is a older, rustic house with charm. The amenities were lacking. We were reduced to using fruit compote glasses for wine, the downstairs ice maker looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and air conditioning doesn't make it to the 3rd floor. The most disappointing aspect is the false representation of the property. The house is supposedly on 30 acres giving you the impression of a tranquil and private environment but actually is only feet from a busy road, The picture of the lake on the property is not a view from the house we rented but another house on the same property which would have been quieter and more secluded. The deception in representing the environment around the house was the biggest complaint.

Great house with lake activities
This location was very convenient to lake Wallenpaupack. We also did a morning at the paws n claws zoo, which is about 25 min away. Walking the approx 1/2 - 3/4 mile to the private lake was actually quite nice. We enjoyed the wildlife along the way - there are pheasants living in the ferns and a whole lot of ducks wandering the property, and the owner has a few chickens at his house. Note that there are a couple other houses at the lake all owned by the same owner and rented out. We were able to keep very separate though. We enjoyed canoeing on the lake. The owner was very nice and made sure We had everything we needed. It was a real treat having all linens included as that is usually a bit of a hassle to deal with when renting a house and making sure you have all the correct size sheets, and the towels take up a ton of room when packing. The kitchen was well stocked and the kids really enjoyed the pool table in the basement. Also it was great having a smart TV on property. When we got home the kids asked when we can go back so I'd say this was a successful family vacation.
