Welcome to Pioneer Cottage! This cozy bungalow style home is a great place to end the perfect day in Pawhuska. Make it a part of your Pioneer Woman and Pawhuska experience. The cottage is decorated in Pioneer Woman decor and is sure to lift your spirits with bright colors and the cozy "at home" feeling. Amenities include a large kitchen filled with Pioneer Woman items, laundry facilities, and comfortable beds. The 2 bedrooms each have a queen bed and the couch makes into a queen size bed. Bring your friends and family and come relax at the Pioneer Cottage!

Very clean, updated, charming cottage. Loved the hardwood flooring and white trim. Having only one bathroom with multiple guests worked out fine- having double sinks helped! The kitchen was spacious and updated nicely as well. Quick and easy drive to The Mercantile We were very pleased with our stay :)

The house was very cute and extremely clean. The check in was easy and the owner was very communicative. It was also very close to downtown Pawhuska. The one thing I disliked about the area are the houses that surrounded the property were abandoned and extremely run down. When booking you have no idea about the location and I believe that should be disclosed.

Sisters Trip

This place was perfect for a birthday trip with my sister. We were only a 4 minute drive from the Pioneer Woman Mercantile. This cottage was the perfect place to relax and unwind, and catch up over cups of coffee. We appreciated how clean and well-kept it was.

Cottage is exactly as it appears! Michelle has everything you would need while visiting. The only reason why I did not give all 5s is because I did not receive check in instructions as stated, and had to reach out and request them. (Well after check in time. Good thing we were getting there late in the evening!)

Weather from Hell

Our first day….. The first few hours were wonderful, but st 9:00 pm that night Pawhuska would be getting one of the worst storms in years. The first wave of thunder, relentless rain and lightening like i have never seen before, the night sky was continuously flashes of white, the power flickered on and off and then just off. When it passed we went to bed in the dark, I am glad i packed a small flashlight, it was going to come in handy. We were awakened again at midnight. This time it was 10 times worse. Our window was facing west, the direction from where the storm was coming. The noise was so loud, the rain was pelting on our window, had there been hail it would have come through the window. It sounded like a freight train was nearby, the sound was deafening.We heard trees cracking and snapping nearby. At this time the air conditioning had been off for 3 , needless to say it was hot. The storm finally passed and when i looked at radar nothing else was coming. No A/C, no coffee ( except at the casino) no hot water for showers. The house was not prepared for a storm. No way to cook, Pawhuska was devastated. All the next day we looked for places to eat that were open, we had to drive 1 hour away for breakfast. Again still no power, we were there Tues-Thursday. From what i heard power to our house didn’t come on until Sunday. No ice, no showers, no cooking, no air conditioning. The owner when contacted, agreed to 1 night refund. Not the best reunion with your 90 yr old parent

Pioneer cottage is darling. Decorated so nice. Cozy and inviting. Kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfy. Nice porch and deck sitting areas. Quiet neighborhood and the host is very attentive and easy to communicate with. Perfect for our mom daughter get way. We’ll stay here again for sure!
