This cabin is secluded in the beautiful pine mountains just 20 mins from downtown Payson. It was the perfect weekend getaway for my family and friends.

Beautiful home, with tons of natural light and views of the surrounding pines and mountain rim. We felt so comfortable in BJs cabin, and he was extremely responsive and offered so many suggestions for local hikes upon my request. The meadery within walking distance was a big perk, and Washington Park trail just 10 minutes from the house was beautiful, as well as water wheel only 15 minutes from the cabin. The kitchen had everything you would need (I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO’s that claim to have well stocked kitchens, but this is one of the first that actually was) and the pool table, darts and plethora of games made our stay with kids that much better!

Great experience all around

Host had oustanding communication, including additional information about area activities, detailed driving directions, tips/tricks, and other small things that made the stay more than just a "nice spot." The home was immaculate, and had everything described in the listing. The area is a perfect place for solitude, but not too far from lots of things to do and see.

Nice Quiet Place in the Pines

We really liked this cabin. It was spacious, secluded, and peaceful. The only drawback was the cabin was hot the first afternoon, but BJ quickly helped us get that figured out and had no issues the rest of our stay. He was super responsive and helpful. We are already talking about coming back to this cabin...

Rental in the mountains

The house was amazing we went on walks at night, the game room and pac man was a hit and very spacious. I will say best part was at night on the top deck looking at all the beautiful stars, i dont see that in phx. Was so easy to communicate with the owner gave alot of details and recommendations.

Place to relax

First off the communication and details provided by the owner was great. The home has everything you need to relax. It is a little bit of a drive on dirt roads to get to the home so be prepared. Plenty of games to keep you entertained, nearby place to try a flight of mead drinks, not too far to still go to town to eat or get supplies. Would recommend.

Bj is truly a cut above the rest. I was very nervous since this was my first experience with VRBO. But he was very helpful and attentive. I would highly recommend this location for anyone that's trying to get away from City and enjoy sometime in nature.

This rental had everything inside we could possibly need for our stay including anything you’d need in the kitchen, grilling tools, even tin foil and ziploc baggies (which we found useful) shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair curling iron, hair straightener, lots of blankets, pillows, towels, cleaning supplies, washer, dryer, laundry detergent. There is a lot for an entire family to do: pool table, darts, tether ball, tire swing, all on a large private property with lots of trees and room to explore. Plenty of room for cars to park. We especially loved the cows that wander through the property!! Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. The owner was very helpful and informative about the property and things to do in the area, which we appreciated. Definitely plan to book another stay here in the Fall.

Beautiful location

I would have given this rental 5 stars, but the only rooms with blinds were the bedrooms. The master bathroom had three full-length windows in the shower with no privacy. The room with the pool table was a little tight, but it was still fun. The yard was great with trees everywhere. It was within minutes of a creek. The kitchen had many basic items stocked. There was basic cleaning done, but there were quite a few cobwebs. The host did a wonderful job communicating everything in a timely manner. The wifi worked well.

Thanksgiving vacation stay

I have older teens. One of them is in college and the next two siblings are right behind the oldest, this next year. We reserved a trip to spend some family time before they grow up and are unable to join us because of unpredictable life events that can occur when we become adults. At one point it almost made me sad seeing us all together, enjoying our time as a family (getting older) We have rented a few cabins throughout the years. This cabin surpassed the rest and of them by far according to my family. The pool table, the scenery, the rooms and privacy was exceptional. The communication with the property manager /the owner was thorough, friendly, welcoming and responsive. They gave us several suggestions on what other sites all around the area. If you come out here, you definitely want to take advantage to of trails and or attractions out here. You get to see a lot of wild life up close from the window. It’s is a site to see.

Owner was great to work with and the location was perfect for a couple of days to unwind. Lot's of hiking and had two different parks to ourselves. The evening fires in the fireplace were perfect to rest up for the next day.

Great Hidden Getaway

We had a fantastic time. Enjoyed some much needed family time away from the city. The house was clean, well stocked, and had so much to entertain the kids and adults. Detailed directions from BJ made the house extremely easy to find even though it is off the beaten path. Would definitely stay again.
