We love Maine and understand "island life." We have travelled to Peaks for 25 years and stayed in a number of properties. Overall, this property felt more used and well worn than I was expecting especially for the price. In addition to the worn conditions of the furniture and space, it was readily apparent that someone was actively living in the space and had only recently cleared out to make room for us. We found personal belongings occupying the closets. On the positive side, the host was very amenable and made accommodations on the length of stay and check-in and check out The wifi worked and the kitchen was stocked. I gave up trying to figure out how to make the TV/cable worked (some posted instructions would be helpful).The mattresses were good and firm. Typical of Peaks, we were required to bring our own linens.The location is excellent with a beautiful view of the water but the overall feel was pretty worn out.
