  • Selina Hostels at Playa Venao The hostel is new and not finished yet, but it has a great design, is located directly at the beach and the staff is really cool. A con is that there is only one shop which has basically nothing and is really expensive; so you either have to bring your food or eat at the bar in the hostel. The beach itself is good for surfers, but you can also enjoy the waves without a board. There are only two (or maybe three; nobody knows) buses from Pedasí to Playa Venao: once in the morning (I think at 7) and once at 12 o'clock. It takes around 1.5 hours. Keep your eyes open and when you see the sign of the hostel, shout "(la) parada, por favor"

Good place, clean and fresh, nice environment.

Everything is brand new. Nice garden to hang out in. Unfortunately wifi did not work, but lucky me I had a book! The kitchen is not constructed yet at the moment but you get a voucher for free breakfast in a café close by. Nice staff. Quiet in the evening. I had a good nights sleep. Downside: towels not included in the doorm. But, I would come back :)

Great Casual Place to Stay!

I checked in with Abel on my first afternoon - an absolutely wonderful young man! Very knowledgeable about the property and the area (and his English far surpasses my Spanish), My only "complaint" is that there was no reading light in the room. Bring a book light if you are a night time reader and you'll have a wonderful stay. Almost forgot, the property seems to take advantage of the warm climate so I wasn't able to enjoy my warm morning shower. I survived. A/C was excellent as was the in room WiFi.

Not great

Hostel looked like it used to be nice, but not well kept. Small too, everything is on top of each other. Room was clean but shared bathroom was filthy and didn't seem to be cleaned daily. Pool also wasn't clean and very very small. People who worked there were nice. I've stayed in a lot of hostels and for what they charge I expected a lot more.

Uma supresa boa

Tive uma grata surpresa quando cheguei no Hostel. Adorei a decoração descolada. Os quartos compartilhados são muito bons. O ar condicionado funciona bem. As camas são boas e espaçosas. O local cheira. O banheiro tem água quente e abundante. As garotas que nos atendem são umas fofas. Eles alugam bicicleta. A internet funciona muito bem. Tem um espaço no fundo muito charmoso para ficar. Enfim - um local simples e encantador.

Experiencia en Selina Hotel

En general nos fue bien, ya que las habitaciones son bastante limpias y el hotel en general es muy limpio. Deben mejorar con la ropa de cama ya que es muy delgada y uno se muere de frio en la noche. NO es un hotel para trips en familia ni personas mayores. Las habitaciones sencillas NO tienen baño privado, sino comunal y eso fue bastante inconveniente para nosotros y en ningún lado lo decía a la hora de hacer la reserva. El servicio de recepción fue EXCELENTE y siempre dispuestos a ayudar y resolver.
