When we called VRBO (very difficult from abroad) they said this was a false listing (my daughter had to do this in the states as it was too difficult form afar). We eventually was reimbursed but we had to scramble to find a new place late a night on our own."

"If you book here expect correspondence from Atom Heart Bacalar. We did not know this and thought the message in What’s App was phishing so we ignored it. Once we got that straightened out, things were easier. It is very remote, bring everything you need for food and drink with you. Bacalar stores are about 1/2 hour drive. "This place was very charming and fully equipped. The host is on their A-game making sure that they have thought of everything. It was very clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the towels were quite soft. I really appreciated that there were instructions for all of the appliances. We loved lounging on the deck in the hammock or the loungers."

"The listing describes the place extremely well. Very clean and tidy. I had a car so it was easy to get around the town. Not my first time on bacalar but I enjoyed the rooftop pool as well. Check in was a piece of cake, would definitely stay here again! "

"We LOVED every moment of our stay! It was like a living dream! From the beauty of the villa, property and lagoon! To the amazing chef and his team! To the house owner and manager.....we felt very well taken care of! Our guests for our retreat were over-the-moon happy! We will definitely be back! "The place was clean, outdoor garden and massage pool beautiful. There is an outdoor kitchen and dining table between the two bedrooms. Great for playing games or having a glass of wine. "The property was very nice and pool was excellent. Each unit has a nice patio with table and outdoor seating overlooking the pool . They also have two Weber BBQs with a children play area. Very family friendly. The only complaints are about the signage on the hwy and the access road is more like a jeep trail. I would not recommend taking a car with a low suspension."

"The hotel “accidentally” charged my card for someone else’s stay in the amount of $600.00, still trying to receive my refund. We had to keep asking and messaging for towels and waters. Our room was not cleaned until after 5 p.m. the hotel is not walking distance from the town area. I did not enjoy this stay and will not book here again "
