I will start with the property advertisement. Who doesn’t want to be near a waterfall and a river. It took some doing to finally secure the reservation because my situation kept changing as to the exact dates we could fly out. I went back and forth with Tatiana our host more than a dozen times before she made it happen. She didn’t give up on me and that was the start of how much I would end up impressed with her. We arrived at the house (VRBO) after midnight because of the drive from the airport. She was there to greet and usher us in. The next day we woke up to PARADISE. The house is set next to a wonderful river that runs down from the mountain. The sound was mesmerizing and the tropical plants are incredible. We have traveled extensively and have stayed in hotels and many resorts. This was so much more enjoyable because here we were able to immerse ourselves with the local people. That was the most enjoyable thing we did even though we visited parks to see the waterfalls, the sloths, the monkeys and so many beautiful birds. Of all the wonderful people we met, our hosts Tatiana and her husband Edgar were over the top!! They are so gracious and attentive. They treated us like family and even had us over for dinner beside taking us to a local hot springs for a dip and a picnic. We have been to the South in the US and have experienced the southern hospitality. But, never like this. Over the Top. We are happy to say we have made some friends for life.
