「Excellent location. 100 yards to beach and we walked to all Surf City shops. About 1/2 mile away. House was great. We enjoyed our stay. We would go back again. The host let us check in early which was awesome!」

「We didn’t actually make it due to a family emergency. However we explained the situation and the host was very quick to respond and did what they could to help us out. Can’t wait to actually stay. 」

「House was just as advertised! It is a cozy cottage that is clean and stylish! Lots of outdoor space and easy walking to shops and restaurants. Loved the special decoration touches and uncluttered storage spaces! We also were impressed with the fenced in yard which was perfect for our toddler and dogs. I do have to agree with another review that the mattresses were not comfortable. Maybe too new and hard? Only other suggestion is a few pots with lids and a 9 x 13 Pyrex for those who like to cook...

「Very comfortable and clean upstairs unit. Kitchen was well equipped. Beach access is directly across the street. You will need a car to get to the restaurants and activities. We just wanted a quiet, low key get away and that is exactly what we got. We would book again.」

「This cottage unit was perfect for us! My husband and I are both in our 80s, so having a lower level unit meant we didn’t have to worry about any stairs, and loading our stuff in and out was very easy. The house was very clean and cozy with cute beach themed decor. We cook most meals in, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was also wonderful. It is so close to a beach access, and the beach was quiet and beautiful. I know many parts of the island have suffered severe erosion,...

「We had a wonderful week at this beautiful rental on the water. We enjoyed coffee on the deck, kayaking, and a few fun beach days. We were able to rent an additional kayak from Topsail Surf and Cycle which they delivered straight to the rent」

「Small rooms and bathrooms. Several roaches/waterbugs. No paperwork on arrival with information such as Wi-Fi, etc… First level is dark and musty. A lot of basic repairs needed. Like door handle falling off, doors not closing/opening easily. Excellent location. Would be better if some basic repairs/updates were done and have exterminator/holes from outside addressed.」

「This beach cottage was perfect!! The sunrise was amazing every morning!! It was clean and the perfect size for my husband and I. Brendan is a great host and was very responsive to any questions that we had. We highly recommend his place to stay and look forward to another visit soon! 」
